CISCE Board Scraps ICSE and ISC Compartment Exams; Introduces Re-Evaluation Scheme for 2024

New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has made significant changes to the 2024 board examinations. They have decided to cancel cube examinations and, rather, introduced an are-evaluation process. According to the official website, this re-evaluation is an addition to the usual rechecking of answer scripts after the result protestation. CISCE conducts both the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations annually.

Students appearing for the ICSE and ISC examinations in 2024 will witness these changes. The ICSE Class 10 examinations will commence on February 21, while the ISC Class 12 examinations are listed on February 12. The results of these board examinations are anticipated to be released in May 2024. Similarly, from this time onwards, CISCE students will have the occasion to take enhancement examinations outside of two subjects. still, for the evaluation process, students will need to pay Rs 1,500 per subject, which will be non-refundable.

The evaluation process introduced by CISCE aligns with the guidelines set by the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020. Re-evaluation of answer scripts will be conducted by competent individuals appointed by the Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE. The results of re-evaluation will be available within three weeks through the CISCE website www.cisce.org. also, to ensure verification during examinations, students must carry their admit card and academy ID.

These examinations will be conducted in the traditional pen-and-paper format. To ease the examination process, students will get a redundant 15 minutes to read the question paper, starting at 11:00 AM after the distribution begins at 10:45 AM.
