What is the impact of fashion studies on your life?

The decision to study fashion design was a life-changing decision for me. Fashion design is very different from any other course, so the curriculum is also very diverse, including many practical and creative aspects. While studying fashion design, I was exposed to a lot of different aspects of designing, planning & implementation. The course includes a wide range of subjects, ranging from science to the history of fashion. One will get good at many subjects while studying fashion design, from calculations to creations. When I started as a Fashion designer after completing my Fashion design degree, I was not only responsible for creating the designs but also for predicting their market viability, cost, etc. I had to also sharpen my communication skills along with getting better with my presentations. People skills were another area that I focused on for better growth in my industry. When I got into Fashion Styling, I experienced the most happening activities in the fashion industry during New York Fashion Week. Be it the top-tier designers, top models, or Hollywood celebrities, everyone was found in these shows. Being part of the backstage styling crew, I experienced a high-paced work environment with an adrenal rush during the commencement of the shows. I also met a variety of talented people from all around the world during my tenure in the New York Fashion Industry. Now that I am serving as the Deputy Director of the KIIT School of Fashion Technology, I interact with young & eager minds every day. Showing them the path to a vast, bright & exciting career with limitless opportunities is amazing. In conclusion, Fashion Studies has given me immense excitement in my career with new challenges, opportunities, and learnings every single day. And I am looking forward to the beautiful days that come.
