As a garment designer faculty, it is crucial to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. I regularly attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and workshops to keep myself informed. Additionally, I am an active member of fashion design associations and constantly engage in research and read industry publications.

How do you approach teaching garment design to students with varying levels of experience?

Every student is unique, and I believe in adopting a personalized approach to teaching. I assess each student's skill level and tailor my teaching methods accordingly. For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation in garment construction, while for advanced students, I encourage experimentation and pushing creative boundaries.

How do you incorporate sustainability and ethical practices into your garment design curriculum?

Sustainability and ethical practises are integral to the future of fashion. I ensure that my students are aware of the environmental and social impact of their designs. I teach them about sourcing sustainable materials, reducing waste, and promoting fair labour practises. I also encourage them to explore innovative ways to incorporate sustainability into their designs.
