R S Teacher's Training College

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

After completing my law degree when I was practicing at the District Court, I found that there is a lack of good teachers that are available in the different schools. Then I went through the different procedures of getting affiliation from the university, worked on fulfilling the requirements, and then founded the college and took affiliation. This college is run under the Radhe Shyam Memorial Trust. I keep attending different seminars and meetings that are organized by the university and NCTE. In addition to this, there are different sources through which we get updated information about the recent developments in the education sector, which helps in getting connected with the education sector.

Being the Secretary of R S teacher’s Training College, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

Leadership, according to me, is If your action inspires you to do more, learn more, and do more, you are a leader" (John Adams). I personally believe that as a leader, you have to show the path to your team by moving on the same path and making them believe that this is the correct path. A leader always shows the way by leading from the front. I also believe in the same approach. In our journey, we have faced a lot of difficulties, and I have always tried to lead from the front and show other members how things can be done. This helps make the team more confident and work in a synchronized format.

We have a group of HODs and faculties who continuously work on the different aspects of administration, whether it be discipline, admission, training and development, placements, or internships. We were earlier working on the conventional approach to marketing using posters, banners, hoarding, and newspaper advertisements. Now we are also working on some social media platforms.

How does the curriculum of R S Teacher’s Training College ensure the best practice of industry?

We are continuously working our best to provide the latest study materials as recommended by the university. In addition to this, we are continuously arranging seminars and workshops for the students so that best practices can be adopted. We have more than 15 schools for practicing teaching, which helps the students get practical knowledge too, as it is very important for the students to get knowledge of the practical environment that will help them develop their teaching skills, which they acquire during their theoretical classes.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

The one and only suggestion for the aspiring students is that they must try to inculcate the learning that they get during their tenure. Must try to implement those in the practical world. They must try to become responsible citizens in the future.
