Mr. K. Venu is a distinguished academician and able administrator with over 10 years of experience. He started his teaching career as an Assistant Professor in 2012. He obtained his Graduation in 2009 from KL University. He did his MBA from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. I have experience in software and working in different companies. I am happy with this education system what is the process they are following, and how they are following?
Being the Marketing Head of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, what is your leadership philosophy? How would you describe your leadership style?
Leadership is like the central head on this campus even though we have multiple functionalities in this college the major role prior in the sense that I have a management for few decisions consulting management the other things like anything like leadership qualities to be the most probably all the decisions for take is like related to the students so which I can understand and I can take my own decision probably leadership is nothing but like we feel like taking the right decision at the right time.
Being the Marketing head of the institute, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?
We have two processes one is fashion design the other is Interior Design. The strategy that we place like most admission what will happen if fashion designing is the most inquiries and most admissions till now in JD Vijayawada are like fashion designing so compared to Fashion Designing interior designing is very so we are planning different strategies to bring up the ID admission am a like interior designing admission so we are planning like seminars so like we are planning to go to different institutions like plus two Institutions like Loyola College, Chala college and KLU.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here at your university?
The curriculum it will be different from compared to the foreign universities right so the curriculum that we follow is like the basic practical knowledge that we provide here so that fashion design and interior design is very unique subjects compared to the like engine and as well as degree courses so what we provide is like practical knowledge so which they can gain more knowledge compared to the theoretical knowledge so the different thing what we plan is like in stuff for stepping into the theoretical thing so will be providing much for opportunities in the industry, industrial visits industrial tour’s industrial trips that will be a local or non-local the thing is that they can get the more practical knowledge by seeing all the industrial visits to the thing is that will more we are focusing more on the pattern was instructed.
How does the curriculum of the college ensure the best practice of industry?
We concentrate more on the practical things such as getting to the theoretical thing so what we do is like as we have different models in different semesters so mostly will take them at least twice in a month for the industrial visits so that I can get more industrial exposure instead of theoretical.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the university and the students are?
I am working as an admin and marketing head here so my role might be very less to interact with the students. Mostly, my part will be the Managing part so I need to handle the admission things and as well as the marketing things so the interaction part will be much less compared to the other faculty members.
What do you think should be the Institute's top priority over the next 10 years?
The JD Vijayawada’s main motive is to develop fashion and as well as interior where they have the very less knowledge regarding the fashion field and as well as integer field so basically the Vijayawada people think like fashion is nothing but like stitching so to eradicate the nuisance thing that they don’t have the common what is the like fashion designing not only about the stitching so we want to provide that knowledge to the like Vijayawada people and as well as Andhra people where they have very less knowledge regarding the fashion field so most of the things they think like fashion show is nothing but like wearing less garments so exposing more what we have let other people think that the thing is that we want to eradicate like that mindset people and to provide more knowledge regarding the fashion as well as interior so we want to educate the people first so what is a fashion on how it will be so we are focusing on that also for the next academic year so I will be going into different organisations are also, planning like NGOs so where we can provide knowledge regarding this way they have different multiple NGOs will be doing this social activities so we want to provide the knowledge what is the fashion designing and how it will be, how the carrier will be after having the fashion designers because this entry we have 11 students who got passed out so out of 11 students got placed in Reliance Trends they provide the package basic packages 40k per month so that is the field how it will be after your career after your education is like fashion is nothing but like a fashion show I like wearing the small dresses and everything apart from that the fashion is like it like vast subject where we can get more knowledge.
When you first came to JDIFT, what was your vision for the university?
The vision of what they are planning for this upcoming is like so we want to educate the Vijayawada and as well as the Andhra people on how fashion is. So much of the people don’t know about the fashion it will be and what are the fashion is, so I said like as most of the enquries what I got like fashion is the thing of stitching so I want to educate the parent as well as the student who is taking this course so if I plan for more NGO activities like education activities so that is what we are planning for the next term Academic years we are to be going to different institutions different organisation to promote what is fashion design because most of the students a like what we are getting most of the enquiries is fashion, interior students were the enquires is getting their knowledge regarding the interior but the fashion is like they are thinking only stitching part is a major part in this same like we’re getting queries it give offer a course for stitching so basically we want offer any course for stitching so it’s not like stitching institution this is like a fashion institution we want to educate so what is a fashion how the fashion field so that is the vision we are planning for the next academic years.
What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?
Basically Vijayawada has only a Few Institutions regarding fashion designing so we have only one institution working in Vijayawada that is ready not even other Institutions are working in Vijayawada regarding this fashion field so the thing is I need to work on more marketing regarding how can I promote my JD so so we planned a show in PVP mall last year, this year like next Academy year planning a show in trendset mall and as well as in different organizations regarding this a promotional activities so will be planning different promotional activities to promote JD so that is what we are looking for JD.
What do you see as JD Institute Of Fashion Technology's greatest strengths?
The curriculum we had is our strength so the thing is like we follow our unique syllabus what we have so strength is like the mains syllabus, so what’s the curriculum is what is covers because they will be covering all the practical things, practical knowledge which provides more knowledge related to the practical list of theoretical so we won’t provide any notes or any test books for this fashion designing field and hassle-free interior designing field so what we provide is only the practical knowledge into their minds that’s what we call is that our strength or major strength.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for JD Institute Of Fashion Technology specifically?
We don’t have any application things I mean like JD is a private organisation where we can't provide any degree certificate so as well as if you go for the higher education institutions like that providing this degree application there be more focus on the college we tried with different organisation for application at University of people will think like is the like University is available or not so that is the major thing we are planning a like so why can’t we start Own JD School of Design so we are in the proposal of the start our university so we where can provide more confidence regarding the degree so that is not like we are planning for the coming years.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
My suggestion would be like instead of focusing on other activities just focus on what you have to send the thing is like so if you’re into a fashion designing field oriented is a field you should be more creative in a to be a more creative person because you need to imagine a lot. After all, if you choose this fashion designing field, the thing is like it won’t be the same for every day it might change, change the Trends so the thing is like you need to be more focused on like creative things instead of being into one stuff going to be more creative compared to the other degree students that are not like if you are going to choose this fashion and interior design be a creative person.
What are some plans that you’re currently (or will be) designing for JD Institute Of Fashion Technology international affairs and/ or students?
Mostly our students are following only the International forms if you have to send any brand letter to Khushi, Allen Solly, Peter England, and everything it might be the international brand it's not a local brand so the students will be more interested only in international brands compared to the local brands. So the best suggestion is instead of choosing International brands so why can’t we promote our local brands that’s what we’re looking for, so if you are creating after your education you want to start a boutique or want to start any business thing so it might be a local brand or local Boutique so it won’t be the interests, so if you want to promote the international Brand don’t go for any business because it might affect your own because so the thing is like we are planning to offer a likely to choose the local brand instead of International brand because we can promote International brands that because we want to promote an international brand we can promote India so mostly JD follows the same thing is instead of international affairs for International Brand will be falling only to the local brands.
