Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey is the Director of (IT & UG Campus) of Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar. With over 22 years of experience in the academic field, he has worked in the domain of Planning, Development, Execution and Maintenance. In his interview he expresses his gratitude towards the education sector and remarkably mentions it to be the best field to work in. He goes on to share that participation of each and every member makes decision making easy and how the institute ensures that every parents’ dream comes true. He thereon highlights that everyone should be aware of their strengths and weaknesses in this globalized world. He then talks about how the institute has been extremely sensitive towards social responsibilities and they ensure proper hygiene is maintained in the campus area. Academic Leadership is entirely different from other verticals. We, at I.T.S Ghaziabad, believe in philosophy that every faculty & staff members at I.T.S Family understands its role & responsibilities and contributes towards the same. As a Leader, my role is to explain our requirements with clarity and a clearly devised plan of action prepared with their inputs, to handhold them, address their concerns and guide them as when required. Apart from the Academics, I am also responsible for Identifying, planning, designing and implementation of ICT Infrastructure at my Institute. It makes me contended that we own one of the best ICT Infrastructure in the vicinity, when it comes to academic Institutions like us. We have entire campus connected through Wired & wireless network with seamless 24*7 secure Internet connectivity. We have designed our systems such that our facilities to all the stakeholders round the clock with 100% up-time and we have been able to achieve this. Our ICT Infrastructure employs an end-to-end security system in place with UTM System deployed. We have mixed setup with some parts in in-premise mode and some we have kept on Clouds. This combination gives us more freedom, flexibility and cost effective solution. Our entire set-up is maintained completely in-house with a team of Maintenance Cell with experts.

A student who takes admission at I.T.S has high hope and expectations for his professional career. This is what the most challenging task is for us as we have a variety of students with Raw Skills. I.T.S, Ghaziabad has emphasized on this front from its inception. My Role at the Institute is to ensure that my Institute is an ideal place for learning and make sure that all facilities, support and required infrastructure is available to create an ideal learning environment to help students by facilitating in the learning process through constructive engagements. This helps We continuously look for avenues where our students get the best of the facilities, faculty, exposure and experience of the real environment, so that they understand, experience and visualize the challenges they may encounter and accordingly they are prepared when it comes to delivery.

The Philosophy of our Founder & Honourable Chairman of I.T.S – The Education Group, Dr. R.P. Chadha Sir, since its inception in 1995, that if you want to build a Strong Nation we need to keep Education & Health on priority. Since our inception, I.T.S has been very sensitive about its Social Responsibilities and such issues to make sure that education reaches all who want. I.T.S provides a good number of scholarships to meritorious students, dependents of Defence personals, economically weaker students and many more in addition to Government Scholarships available. I just wish to share that the Children of our 4th Class Employees are getting Free Education at different campuses in different programs. 

Apart from this, our Group also runs the Chadha Public School, which provides entirely free education, stay and food to the Girl Students of poor and deprived sections of Society and about 300+ such girls are getting world class education from this school.

We take extra care to make sure that our college maintains a clean hygiene 

A Healthy Mind resides in a healthy Body. We believe firmly in the proverb and follow the same. We have been very particular at I.T.S about a healthy and hygienic environment in the campus. Our campus follows everything that makes our environment clean, green, cleanliness across the campus to maintain hygiene in the entire campus including our separate In-campus Boys and Girls Hostels, Sports Complex, Academic Blocks etc. 

To cater the needs of the immediate health facility, the Institute has a well-equipped Medical Clinic with all facilities including well qualified Doctors (MBBS, MD, MDS tec.) Physician, Cardiac Expert, Dentists with Dental Chairs and other well trained Supporting Staff. This also serves the needy and poor people in the vicinity.

We have taken extra care to make sure the College Canteen and Mess maintain cleanliness and good hygiene in food preparation & cooking and in & around premises. This helps us in keeping I.T.S a safe place for overall mental, physical and spiritual development of our students.

There is no shortcut for success and long-term survival. In such a situation of cut-throat competition, the only way to survive is to develop a habit of continuous learning, keeping close watch on Industry developments and keep reskilling as per changing requirements so that they remain relevant with changing time and requirements. This requires passion, commitment, continuous & consistent efforts, aligning individual goals with organizations & contributes self-discipline, focused efforts, sincerity about what you are doing and above all maintain a balance between Professional and Personal Life. We always strive to inculcate these attributes among our students through various Workshops, Group Discussions, Yoga activities, Motivational Session, Spiritual Talks, and Session on meditation to make students realize their potential, increase focus and mental strength to counter the future challenges.

Failure is a stepping stone towards success 

Failure is a stepping stone towards success. The term can be perceived in a positive way. When we take an attempt towards what we want to achieve, we sometimes miss out on some factor. Despite our best efforts, we fail to achieve what we intend to. There can be numerous factors which come into play, such as lose focus, losing out on something, getting distracted, personal or organizational factors also play a pivotal role. This unsuccessful attempt which created hiatus is known as failure. This should, in-turn, give motivation to strive for success and attempt again and again till the goal is achieved.

Therefore, I advise my students that success does not come easily as you are competing with thousands of equal mind people, and so you need to make yourself more useful, resourceful and more worthy than others. This will require some extra stretching and some more commitment. In most of the cases, I have found students realizing and accepting it and getting great success.
