Mr. D.K. Bhardwaj has been working as the Director of Padarpan Films and Theatre Institute, New Delhi. He has done B.Com from DU, Deshbandhu College and MBA from Amity Business School as part of his education. He holds a wonderful 15 years of work experience in the film industry, where he has worked with various actors/actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Manoj Tiwari, Vivek Oberoi, Yash Pal Sharma and Meenakshi Dutta etc. And for his amazing work, he has won Akhand Bharat Gaurav Award, Sport 9 Award and BCR award etc.

What are your long-term goals for the college being the Director of it?

My long-term goal is to make our institution the number one college of acting, firstly in India and then worldwide. And then we aspire to explore as many target audiences as we can and spread more awareness about our college so that everyone can recognize it.

What kind of projects or strategic initiatives has your institution taken recently or is planning for upcoming time?

Currently, we have decided to launch TV programs at the end of this month under our production name and the prime objective of these programs is to expose our students to the industrial world and acting domain for getting the best possible practical experience. Along with this, these programs help students build good relations with corporate experts and professionals.

How do you ensure effective communication and collaboration among various departments and stakeholders within the college?

We ensure effective communication and collaboration among our departments and stakeholders by engaging everyone in conversations, discussion sessions, events and college activities so that all of us remain in sync. And then together as a team we implement the decisions we finalize during our scheduled meetings which we conduct every Saturday to develop strategies and plans for our future endeavors.

How does your college promote a supportive and inclusive teaching-learning ambiance for students, faculty and staff members?

Our institution has developed a friendly and supportive learning environment on campus to ensure teachers and students can get the best teaching-learning facilities. And we regularly encourage our teachers and staff members to maintain good and transparent relationships with students, where they can comfortably express themselves openly and truthfully. Last but not the least, one-on-one sessions are conducted for anyone in need to make sure their grievances can be addressed and resolved on time.

How do you allocate resources within the college to support academic programs, research and infrastructure development?

The prime objective of our college is to bring forward new and innovative ideas along with programs and approaches for the benefit of students and allocate resources appropriately based on the current needs of everyone on campus. And we regularly conduct prioritized events and activities in collaboration with different sponsors so that students can get a practical exposure of their respective domains by interacting with experts coming from the same fields.

What steps have been taken by your institution to enhance its reputation in the academic community?

At present, our ambitious youths cum students are working on tons of movies and shows and this I believe once released will enhance the reputation and standing of our college in the outer world. in which our students are working, which definitely enhances our reputation and standing in the academic community. For the future, I simply want our students and institutions to grow and achieve as much success as they can.

In your opinion, what role does innovation and technology play in the college's educational offerings? And what kinds of technological advancements are implemented in PFTI?

Our college always remains eager when it comes to adapting or upgrading to new technology advancements and I strongly believe that if we don’t offer programs incorporating the latest technologies to students, then they will be able to gather the outdated knowledge only which will be of no use for them in this dynamically competitive world. And ultimately they will feel that they have wasted their money, time and efforts. Therefore, our college goal is to ensure they get the best quality knowledge for the money students invest. And recently we have switched from DSLR cameras to RED cameras for shooting as part of technological advancement.

How does your college collaborate with industry partners to ensure that the curriculum remains aligned with the needs of the job market?

We stay in regular communication with our amazing Alumni who conduct sessions for their juniors to share their own experiences, struggles, learning and key takeaways while passing out from the college or of working with big corporate houses. And through these sessions, students can also clarify their doubts with respect to improving their skills, pursuing a new course or available career scope domestically and internationally. Apart from all this, we organize various shows which are attended by esteemed celebrities, directors, and producers and help our students in return to interact with them, build relationships and gain deep insights from those actors and producers' experiences as well.

How do you enhance the skills of your faculty members and prepare them as per industry standards?

Our college offers a wide range of skill enhancement opportunities and windows to faculty members to help them join various shows and programs organized by us. Along with this, we regularly encourage them to collaborate with industry professionals so that they can get career growth opportunities and upgrade their knowledge at the same time.

How does PFTI prioritize student support services, such as career counseling, mental health resources, and extracurricular activities?

We organize various kinds of mind exercises sessions and dance classes on a frequent basis to reduce mental stress of students and help them build physical stamina, because someone has truly said that an active mind resides in a healthy body. Additionally, we have one-on-one counseling sessions for those students dealing with some kind of mental distress and during these sessions, individuals can openly discuss their challenges, and we strive to resolve their issues and provide the necessary support on time.
