Dr. Preeti Dwivedi is the Principal and Head of the MBA department of Vindhya Institute of Management and Research Satna. She has been working at this esteemed institute since March 2013 and has ten years of experience in teaching. She completed her PhD in Human Resources from Barkatullah University and completed her graduation in the stream of Science with Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics in 2007. Dr. Dwivedi has taken several sessions on communication skills, presentation skills and personality development and has been the Resource Person in various management development programs, staff development and faculty development programs. Professor Preeti worked as a coordinator at a number of national and international conferences, having published seven research papers in international journals and eight research papers in national journals of repute. She worked as a Life Skill Trainer and has worked at motivating various students. Her areas of interest are Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Compensation Management.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?
Being deeply engaged in the education sector has been a fulfilling and enriching journey throughout my professional career. What keeps me connected to this field is the profound impact education has on shaping individuals and contributing to the betterment of society. The education sector provides a unique platform to influence and inspire the future generation. It's gratifying to witness students evolve into capable, knowledgeable, and responsible individuals equipped to face the world's challenges. My experience with the institute has been positive, marked by a commitment to academic excellence, fostering a supportive learning environment, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborating with dedicated educators, staff, and students has reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education. Moreover, the challenges encountered have served as opportunities for innovation and growth, fostering resilience among the institute's community. What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
In my leadership philosophy, the cornerstone is the empowerment of individuals through a collaborative and growth-oriented approach. I believe in creating an environment where each team member feels valued, heard, and encouraged to contribute their unique strengths. Continuous growth, both personal and professional, is integral. I strive to instil a culture that embraces learning, adapts to change, and values feedback. By providing opportunities for skill development, mentorship, and a supportive atmosphere, I aim to cultivate a team that is proficient in their roles and inspired to evolve and excel.
How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practice of industry?
We maintain close ties with industry professionals, conduct regular industry surveys, and engage in partnerships to gather insights into emerging trends and evolving skill requirements. This ensures that our students are not only well-versed in established industry practices but are also prepared to navigate and contribute to a rapidly changing professional landscape. We integrate hands-on, experiential learning opportunities into our curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to industry-relevant scenarios. Internships, industry projects, and collaborations with businesses are integral components. These experiences not only reinforce classroom learning but also allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts, fostering a deeper understanding of industry dynamics. I'm committed to creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that empowers students to excel academically and personally. My responsibilities encompass promoting a culture of innovation, cultivating faculty development, and safeguarding the overall welfare and success of our students.
What would you like people to know about your institute they may not know?
I'd like to emphasise the outstanding academic infrastructure at our institute, which comprises advanced smart classrooms that facilitate interactive and tech-enabled learning experiences. Our resource-rich library offers a diverse collection to support comprehensive research and learning. The fully equipped computer laboratory ensures students have hands-on experience with the latest technologies, enhancing their practical skills. These facilities collectively contribute to an environment that promotes academic excellence and innovation that helps prepare students for real-world challenges. We take pride in providing a technologically advanced and conducive setting that goes beyond conventional learning spaces, fostering a holistic and enriching educational experience for our students.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
I want students and youth to know that everyone is unique. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses that they must be aware of to work on. Connect with mentors who can provide guidance and share valuable experiences. Work on soft skills along with academic achievements.
