CIMAGE Students Inspired by 'Chandu Champion' Screening at Cinepolis Patna![a]()

Date: June 28, 2024
CIMAGE students were shown the motivational film 'Chandu Champion' at Cinepolis in the capital city, Patna. Students from MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Sc.IT, and B.Com.(P) were selected based on their attendance, performance in class, and participation in extracurricular activities. The entire auditorium at Cinepolis was booked for the students. The group was led by CIMAGE directors Prof. Neeraj Agrawal, Megha Agrawal, and Dean Prof. Neeraj Poddar.
Sharing details about the event, Prof. Neeraj Agrawal mentioned that “CIMAGE is a powerful medium to convey messages, which is why today's movie was selected.” Through the film 'Chandu Champion,' students were encouraged to set a goal in life and to maintain enthusiasm and passion to achieve that goal despite all adverse circumstances. It is known that the film 'Chandu Champion' is based on the real-life story of India's first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. Inspired by the victory story of a wrestler in his childhood, he dreamt of winning a gold medal for India in the Olympics and achieved his dream despite numerous obstacles. His story of 'determination to win' and 'achieving dreams despite all odds' is highly inspiring.
After the film ended, a special session was organised in the auditorium where the film was discussed as a case study, and various aspects were deliberated upon, leading to new insights. Murlikant Petkar, a child from Sangli, Maharashtra, had a single dream - to win a gold medal in the Olympics. However, he had to leave his village to save his life, switch from wrestling to boxing, and was hit by nine bullets in the 1965 war, with one bullet permanently lodged in his body, leaving him unable to walk. His family refused to take him home, but his dream of winning a medal in the Olympics remained, and he achieved it. Such strong determination is needed to achieve extraordinary success in life. During the film, students were also provided with cold drinks and popcorn, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

“CIMAGE” launches a song on the Ocassion of Chath Festival”

Date: November 07, 2023
CIMAGE College has launched 'Mai Khatir' during the Chhath festival, making an attempt to present the changing image of Bihar, which is progressing while preserving its traditional roots. The youth of Bihar are not only successful and modern but also deeply connected to their land and traditions. The release of the Chhath song "Mai Khatir" showcases a new image of Bihar's youth on the global stage, who are carving a niche for themselves with a blend of love for their mother and homeland worldwide. According to Neeraj Agrawal, the director of CIMAGE College, the purpose of creating this song was to change the often-negative perception of Bihar's youth in the public's mind. Even if there is some positive recognition, it is often tied to their success in exams like the IAS and IPS. However, he emphasizes that thousands of young people from Bihar join various categories of UPSC in different regions of the country every year. Through this Chhath song, a silent revolution led by Bihar's youth is being displayed. Today, not only in government jobs but also in the IT sector, banking sector, startups, and every field, Bihar's youth are advancing the country with their talent. Students of CIMAGE College in Patna are contributing to large multinational companies not only in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Gurugram but also in global hubs like Texas (US), London, Dubai, Singapore, Sydney, and more. Despite their modernity and global success, these Bihar youth do not forget their culture and family values.
Neeraj Agrawal further explained that while Bihar's youth in the modern age are creating their own identity amidst Western influences, they still cherish their culture and the fragrance of their native soil. This is why when the Chhath festival season arrives, they remember their roots and eagerly return to their hometowns. The song portrays a son who observes the Chhath tradition for his mother, who falls ill as a fulfillment of her long-standing wish. This song has been released officially on CIMAGE Patna's YouTube channel. It features renowned classical and folk singer Ranjana Jha and portrays the story of a young man who works at a top international IT company. Despite holding a high position in such a large company, he doesn't forget his traditional values and beliefs. It shows how he fulfills his duties and keeps his traditions alive. In addition to depicting the importance of the mother-son relationship and the bond with the soil, the song highlights the story of a son who performs Chhath for his mother's well-being.
CIMAGE Patna's director, Professor Neeraj Agrawal, believes that this song presents a broad perspective on both the Chhath festival and the new image of Bihar. He encourages all residents of Bihar to watch this song. The song is a creation of harmony between modernity and the attraction of Western culture, introducing the new image of Bihar's youth to the global world. The song also addresses a significant issue related to melody copyright claims and strikes within the traditional music sector, which some prominent companies exploit. The artists and content creators in this domain are working to create a platform where these copyright claims and strikes can be contested, and legal rights can be protected.
In the press conference, CIMAGE's director, Professor Neeraj Agrawal, and renowned singer Ranjana Jha addressed the press and responded to their questions. During the launch, CIMAGE College's director (Operation) Megha Agrawal, Dean Neeraj Poddar, and other teachers were present. They offered their congratulations to everyone on this achievement and expressed their joy.
