Undergraduate Programmes (4-Year)

BGSBU offers 26 undergraduate programmes across arts, science, commerce, and vocational streams. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programmes include English, Urdu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Pahari, Gojri, Arabic, Persian, Linguistics, Islamic Studies, Economics, History, Political Science & International Relations, Sociology, and Education. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) includes Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, and Environmental Sciences.

Commerce and professional programmes include Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc.) in Tourism and Travel Management. The university also offers "Design Your Degree" programme allowing students to customize their curriculum. All UG programmes follow NEP-2020 framework with flexible exit options: UG Certificate after Year 1, UG Diploma after Year 2, UG Degree after Year 3, and Honours/Honours with Research after Year 4.

BGSBU offers 9 B.Tech specializations: Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology & Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Lateral entry available for diploma holders in Civil, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, and IT Engineering.

Diploma Engineering programmes include Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical Engineering with lateral entry options. B.Sc. Nursing is also offered at Rajouri, Jammu, and Kishtwar campuses with varying intake and fees.

B.Tech Fee Structure: INR 29,500 per semester for government seats. Self-financing seats available at INR 1,50,000 one-time plus semester fees. Diploma fees: INR 2,300-INR 9,200 per year for government seats. B.Sc. Nursing fees: INR 24,200-INR 27,200 per semester depending on the year.

Postgraduate Programmes (1-2 Year)

BGSBU offers 21 postgraduate programmes. Master of Arts (M.A.) includes Economics, Islamic Studies, English, Urdu, Hindi, Gojri, Pahari, Education, Arabic, and Persian. Master of Science (M.Sc.) includes IT, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Physics, and Environmental Sciences. Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MBA (Hospitality & Tourism) are also available.

M.Tech programmes include Computer Science & Engineering, Power and Energy Systems, Electronics & Communication, and Water Resource Engineering. PG Fee Structure: Per semester fees range from INR 13,750 (M.A. programmes) to INR 29,500 (M.Sc. Science programmes). M.Tech fees: INR 14,000 per semester. MBA and MBA (HTM): INR 22,750 per semester. MCA: INR 22,750 per semester. One-Year PG Diploma in Journalism: INR 6,000 per semester. Self-financing seats available at INR 1,50,000 one-time plus semester fees.

Eligibility Criteria

For UG programmes: Pass 10+2 with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). For B.Tech: Pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. For PG programmes: Bachelor's degree with 55% marks from recognized university. Some programmes may require entrance examinations like CUET PG or university-specific tests.
