Applicants must hold a valid diploma in engineering from a recognised polytechnic institute. Candidates applying for state-quota seats must also submit a valid Bihar domicile certificate. Both documents are compulsory during the verification process.
How to Register and Fill Choices for BCECE LE 2026?
The registration and choice filling process is conducted online through the official BCECEB portal. Candidates must log in using their BCECE LE 2026 roll number and password.
After logging in, candidates must pay the counselling registration fee online. Once the payment is completed, the choice filling window becomes available on the candidate dashboard.

What Are the Counselling Fees for BCECE LE 2026?
The counselling process includes two separate fee components. The first is a non-refundable registration fee, which must be paid while completing the counselling registration.
The second is the seat acceptance fee, which becomes payable after a candidate receives a seat allotment. Both payments can be made online through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
The exact fee amounts are provided in the official BCECE LE 2026 counselling prospectus available on the BCECEB portal.
What Happens After Seat Allotment?
The portal will publish the Round 1 seat allotment result before July 29, 2026. Candidates who receive a seat must download their allotment letter between July 29 and August 3, 2026.
Selected candidates must report to the allotted institution for offline document verification and admission. During reporting, the college will check the original documents and collect the required admission fee.
Candidates who fail to report within the specified deadline may lose their allotted seat. Any vacant seats will then be offered during Round 2 or the mop-up counselling round.
Lateral entry counselling is the only route for polytechnic diploma holders in Bihar. It grants direct admission to the second year of a four-year engineering degree. Missing the choice filling window means losing the seat chance for this session.
