Amity University has opened its Doctorate (PhD) admissions for the January 2026 session at its various campuses, including Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Noida, Gwalior, Kolkata, Mohali, Ranchi, and Patna.
The last date for submitting applications for Patna, Kolkata, Ranchi and Mohali is 24 December 2025.
The last date for Lucknow, Mumbai, Gwalior, and Bengaluru is December 6, 2025. Only the Noida Campus last date to apply for PhD is December 15, 2025. Interested candidates should apply soon through the official portal, amity.edu.

Amity University PhD Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate with a Master’s degree from a recognised Indian or foreign university/institute in the relevant field, with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA), qualifies.
Or a candidate holding a four-year Bachelor’s degree (from a recognised institute/university) in the relevant discipline, with minimum 75% marks (or equivalent CGPA), may also be eligible (full-time PhD only).
For certain professional qualifications, e.g. Chartered Accountancy (CA), Cost & Works Accountancy (ICWAI), or Company Secretary (ICSI) with a minimum 55% or equivalent grade, candidates may be considered eligible for PhD admission in relevant fields.
Foreign / NRI applicants, or those with a Master’s from a foreign university, must submit an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) along with the application form.

Amity University PhD Admission 2026 - How to Apply?
1. Visit the official PhD admission portal of Amity University and fill out the online application form; no hard copies are accepted.
2. Upload the required documents in proper format: recent passport-size photograph (3.5 × 4.5 cm), Class X mark sheet, Post-Graduate (or relevant) mark sheet, any equivalence certificate (for foreign degrees), and a preliminary research idea/proposal (not exceeding 1000 words).
3. Pay the application fee (₹ 1,500) via credit/debit card during submission.
4. Once the form and fee are submitted, the candidate will be considered for the selection process, which includes an entrance test (sometimes called PET) and, for shortlisted candidates, a personal interview.
