New Delhi: All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS Institute of Information Technology) has organised a one-day workshop on “Implementation of National Education Policy 2020 (School Connect 2024)” on June 18, 2024.

The workshop at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology was sponsored by SPPU under the QIP scheme. The aim of the workshop was to increase awareness and understanding of NEP among 12th Students and parents.

Mr. Bharat Amalkar, Member, N.E.P. Maharashtra State Steering Committee was the speaker for the workshop. He discussed the start of NEP in some of the forms started from 1967. He focused on the different aspects of education policy benefits to future students for developing our country. He also focused on the multiple entry and multiple exit scheme provided in NEP. He explained about National credit framework for future aspiring engineers. He elaborated on how skill enhancement program can be helpful for the students for placement opportunities. If one focused on the challenges and availability for employability NEP gives students better opportunities. In the presentation, he briefly explained about importance of ABC ID generation for each students to store students credit.

Dr. P. B. Mane Principal highlighted that different honors and minor courses can be added in NEP by institute for student’s benefits. He also focused on exam schemes can be implemented so that students get benefited to gain more credits for their development. He also elaborated on the need for activity-based learning to get practical insight.

Workshop got huge response from parent and students. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. N. S. Warade of E&TC department.
