AIIMS Rishikesh MPH 2026

The Master of Public Health (MPH) programme at AIIMS Rishikesh integrates epidemiology, health management, policy analysis and environmental health to train public health professionals for leadership and research roles.

Applicants holding recognised medical or AYUSH degrees who obtain their qualifying certificate by December 8, 2025 are eligible to apply.

AIIMS Rishikesh MPH 2026 application must be submitted by November 6, 2025 (5:00 PM) via Registered or Speed Post only; late or incomplete forms will be rejected. The program aims to train public health professionals adept in evidence-based practices, leadership roles, and implementation of the One Health approach.

The entrance test for the MPH programme at AIIMS Rishikesh will comprise 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be attempted in 180 minutes. The exam will cover a broad range of subjects, including:

  • Research methodology & biostatistics – 30 questions
  • Epidemiology – 30 questions
  • Demography – 30 questions
  • National Health Programmes – 20 questions
  • Basics of Public Health – 15 questions
  • Nutrition – 15 questions
  • General Knowledge – 20 questions
  • Logical Reasoning – 20 questions
  • Computer Literacy – 20 questions

Each correct answer will carry one mark, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.

What are the Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS Rishikesh MPH 2026?

For the 2026 academic session, AIIMS Rishikesh has announced a total of 10 seats for the MPH programme. Out of these, eight seats are earmarked for candidates holding MBBS, BDS or AYUSH degrees, while two seats are reserved for in-service medical candidates.

Applicants must complete their qualifying degree by December 8, 2025, from a recognised institution. While not mandatory, proficiency in Hindi up to Class 10 is considered desirable.

Reservation of seats will follow the Government of India norms:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC) – 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 7.5%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 27%
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10%

Additionally, 5% of seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), subject to merit.

AIIMS Rishikesh MPH 2026 Fees Structure

The total fee for the two-year MPH programme at AIIMS Rishikesh is ₹5,440, which includes ₹500 as registration charges, ₹700 for tuition, ₹1,800 for laboratory use, ₹1,440 towards the amalgamated fund, and a refundable security deposit of ₹1,000. However, once paid, the fees are non-refundable.

The institute has made it clear that candidates must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance throughout the course. Performance will be reviewed through six-monthly assessments, and unsatisfactory progress may result in cancellation of candidature.

Candidates sponsored by employers are required to submit a valid sponsorship certificate, as AIIMS does not provide any emoluments.

At the time of admission, selected candidates will need to present original or attested copies of key documents, including the offer letter, registration slip, admit card, mark sheets, degree certificates, internship completion certificate, registration certificate, and category or disability certificates, if applicable.
