• Job opportunities totally depend on the status of hiring at that particular time. There are a lot of multinational companies in Ireland, so getting a job is not a tough task. I know seniors who have secured a job either before the completion of the course or right after the completion. But the salary and role may depend on experience and CV.

• There are accommodations available on campus, but they are limited. There are several websites available to rent a whole apartment, a room or shared space with others. Also, websites that specifically offer student accommodation help a lot in finding the appropriate and safe accommodation for a year, which makes it easier and hassle-free.

• I feel only 15% of students in my course secure a full-time job after completing the course or within 6 months of completion of the course.
• 40000 EUR is the average salary range that most students in your program can expect to earn upon graduation
• We have career fairs conducted at the university. apart from that, we have online platforms such as grad ireland and linkedin and other similar portals. There are recruitment agencies as well that help students find a job but charge some fee.
• SEI, PWC, DELOITTE, KPMG, and ESB are the major companies.

• I connected with people and students on Linkedin by looking at their profiles if they had studied at Dublin City University. There were other websites where they had provided accommodation services and every detail of the property.
• My rent for the accommodation was 700 Euros; it included basic room and kitchen amenities such as wifi, kitchen tools, and accessories.
• No challenges as such, it requires basic research just to be sure that you are not scammed.
• Hazelwood accommodation is a suitable one for students considering Dublin City University.
• My accommodation was 30 minutes away from Dublin City University.

• There is no such percentage of students securing employment but a better criterion is to see in which field students are getting a job more often. This remains with fields like IT and Finance. There are also nursing jobs available here. The average salary range completely depends on the person's previous experience. The best way to find a job is to visit LinkedIn or the careers page of the companies and keep looking for open roles as soon as they open up. Campus fairs are good for grad roles. My batchmates have been working in fields like IT and Finance and in IT they are mostly software developers (so am I).

• I applied for the university accommodation and got the same. I also kept on applying for accommodations outside of daft.ie and also found out the contact numbers of some agents. Telegram and facebook are good platforms to find accommodations as well. I was paying 720 euros for a single ensuite room shared with 4 other people (although the rent has now increased).
• Finding accommodation is the hardest thing to do while studying in Ireland. I couldn't attend any viewings, as I was in India when I was applying for accommodations so that was a challenge.
• On top of that, landlords prefer people who are working in Ireland, have a stable income and have a landlord reference letter. As I was staying in the campus accommodation, my accommodation was literally inside the campus. There is no such data available that tells where Indians mostly stay, as they can stay anywhere from campus accommodations to rented flats.

• Employment rates are good and 95% of the batch does secure employment within 6 months of graduation. The average salary is usually EUR 50,000 a year. Unlike India, there is no placement cell here and the student needs to take the initiative and make the effort to apply.
• It is advised that a student apply to at least 1000+ companies to secure a good opportunity. Major employers are Carne Group, Davy, BCG, Blackstone, Carlyle among others.

• I opted for Hazelwood Student Accommodation as it is near my college; the rent is EUR 700/month. My accommodation is near my college and hence I opted for the same; it is at a walking distance of 30 minutes from my college. I would recommend choosing an accommodation that is close to your college so you can save on transport. University Living is a trustworthy site that one can use while booking an accommodation.

• Securing a full-time job after completing the course at DCU can be extremely challenging, especially in the current job market, even if you are experienced. While many students aspire to land a job quickly (rarely), the job search process has become more competitive. Typically, around 30-40% of graduates secure a job within six months of completing their course, though this varies by field. The remaining students may take longer to find opportunities, often due to increased competition and a lack of sufficient work experience. Some of them have also moved back after completing courses.

• Searching for accommodation is one of the challenging tasks for the students, especially to get hostel accommodation, as college does not have much facility to provide. Students have to arrange their accommodation on their own and make sure to deal with the inflated price, as there are a lot of scammers as well.

• When I had started studying, the job market was really bad so about 20% were working in a full-time role but now as the job market is getting better, I'd say about 60-70% of the previous batch is placed. Currently from my batch, about 30% are working full-time but one thing I've noticed is that a lot more students are going back to India or their home countries this time. The average salary in my field is about 40,000 Euros yearly.
• To find a job, you have to apply via LinkedIn or Indeed and referrals also work. There is no campus recruitment but there are grad events where students can talk to recruiters from various companies and network. These events are basically to market the graduate roles. I see a lot of students getting placed in IBM and Amazon; these two are the biggest recruiters in Ireland.
• IBM, Amazon, Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG are the major companies in Ireland that hire from my field. Students who go to universities (Trinity, UCD, DCU) are preferred over those who went to colleges (NCI, DBS)

• TA roles weren't available during my study year, as previous students were still working due to the bad job market at that time. DA roles are easier to get as there are many openings but you have to be early. The pay range for TA and DA is minimum wage and for RA it is about 28,000 Euros yearly. Since there are cafes and bars on campus, you can also work as a server. The hourly wage is minimum. You can work 20 hours while studying and 40 hours afterwards. It's easy to get a job in the restaurant, as they prefer students who are currently enrolled.
• In part-time jobs it is minimum wage but at the airport it is higher; you can earn up to 18 Euros per hour. It is easy to secure a part-time job; plus, if you have a good network, that is a plus, as referrals really help in securing a part-time job. Most places prefer referrals. So usually you would apply online with a resume and then they would call you for an interview, then either a trial round or directly tell you the starting date based on the requirement.

• Since 2022 the market has been in a slack as IT had hit recession and there have been many layoffs since then. There are many students who had to go back to India due to lack of opportunities. However, the market is getting better now. There are a lot of opportunities for SDE roles as compared to Data Roles in Ireland. 
• The average salary range for grads is around 35000 to 50000 EUR and for experienced individuals from 60000 to 120000 EUR
• People can find jobs through individual company websites, LinkedIn or Career Fairs. Also, there are private recruitment agencies here 
• Most of my batchmates are placed within local Irish COmpanies or big Techs 
• EY, Deloitte, PWC, Stripe, Citi, AIB, BOI, Amazon, Microsoft, Google hire grads

• I opted for off campus accommodation - yes I used online platforms like Facebook groups, Daft, Referrals through friends to look for accommodation 
• The monthly rent for a double bed room was 1500 EUR. There was only a parking included. All the utilities like electricity, trash and Wi-Fi were separate. 
• The accommodations in Dublin are very expensive. So it is difficult to get a good apartment in and around the city centre. Also, there is a shortage of Apartments so people end up living in the suburbs which makes it difficult to commute

Current year is hard since there are alot of people and less openings for them. There are openings for reasearch

Overall experience is very good, Good faculty, Good University, Helping people

The opportunities are great and you have to make a strong network and ask for the referalas as it will benefit you a lot and there are many graduate roles for the freshers.For the experienced ones there should not be any problem in finding a decent job as quickly as possible.

The experience is very much nice as I enjoyed my time in the university with the academics as well as the other activities and chilling in the campus and different function by the university . The playground areas movie nights which will make you feel like a home in the university itself.

Median salary: 35000-45000 EUR Companies do visit the university 1-2 times a year but only as a part of career fairs. Students have to interact with them and find their own ways to get jobs there.

Overall experience is good. If you have the will and enthusiasm to participate in different activities along with your studies, then it can be a very good learning experience.
