About International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT)

"International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) was established in 1990 by Mr. R.D. Lal, a student of London School of Design, U.K. and since then it has achieved tremendous growth within a span of 30 years. It has become one of the biggest fashion institutes of Asia imparting education in the field of Fashion, Interiors and other design related courses. IIFT, Ranchi Centre, established in 2002, is IIFT’s first centre in Jharkhand. With its head office at New Delhi, it works under the guidance of Mr. R.D. Lal, imparting education in the field of Fashion and Interior design. The courses that we offer have been designed by the head office and they are upgraded on a regular basis. At the end of the course, all the students are given equal opportunity at placement and most of them are placed at leading export houses or production units in Delhi. It organizes events on a regular basis and all the students have to take active part in the events. It is the only institute in Jharkhand which has given an international Platform like Kathmandu to its students. They were taken on a trip to Kathmandu for the fashion show held there. Our students have also designed clothes for the runways like Rashtriya Khadi Paridhan Utsav and also for famous models from time to time. Along with regular studies, students are also guided about personality development by means of separate classes and seminars held at the centre where the students are also asked to give presentation and speech on different subjects."
