Economic physics is an interdisciplinary research area that uses physical and statistical theories to solve problems in economics and business. On the one hand, quantitative physical laws and models are applied to processes in the financial industry (econophysics), on the other hand, it is examined how physical laws influence the design of devices and processes economically.
