There are no tuition fees at the University of Duisburg-Essen. All students are, however, subject to a student body and social contribution fee per semester.
The social and student body contribution for the summer and winter semesters 2021 amounts to a total of $774.86.
The amount is made up as follows:
- Mobility contribution (ticket): $506.82, of which $367.88 for the VRR semester ticket and $138.94 for the NRW ticket
- Social contribution for the Studierendenwerk: $229.96
- Student body fee: $38.08.
The social and student body contribution is not to be paid before enrollment! Students will be informed about the payment modalities upon registration.
Komedia is an interdisciplinary course of study that imparts a wide range of knowledge and skills in the field of new media and human-computer interaction from the perspective of computer science, psychology, and business administration. In the practice-oriented course, students acquire professional skills for the conception, design, development, and use of digital media, especially Internet applications in business and society.
