The then mechanical engineering department of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences set up the two-semester postgraduate course "Aeronautical Management" (MEAM) with the degree "Master of Engineering" (M. Eng.) For the summer semester 2004. The course was accredited by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency Hanover (ZEvA) in December 2003.
