Biomedical engineering (English: Biomedical Engineering) devices, systems, and software are developed to support modern medicine. The bachelor's degree program in Biomedical Engineering was first offered in the winter semester 2009/10 and is the first independent course in (bio-) medical technology at universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. The course is interdisciplinary and practical: it covers the basics from the natural and engineering sciences, diagnostic and therapeutic questions from medicine, but also content from business administration and important legal aspects.
