It promotes the ability to solve problems and helps us to understand the world around us by providing a language with which everyday situations can be described and worked on in a model. Mathematics thus provides the basis for various disciplines such as computer science and natural sciences.
- At the University of Osnabrück, the disciplines of mathematics and computer science are closely interlinked. A solid basic education enables the students to solve problems with scientific methods and with methods of computer science as quickly as possible.
- There is also the opportunity for early participation of students in mathematics-didactic research and development projects - a special feature of the training at the University of Osnabrück.
