- Mathematics is a science of patterns that allows new insights to be gained through logical conclusions. It promotes the ability to solve problems and helps us to understand the world around us by providing a language with which everyday situations can be described and worked on in a model. Mathematics thus provides the basis for various disciplines such as computer science and natural sciences.
- At the University of Osnabrück, the disciplines of mathematics and computer science are closely interlinked. A solid basic education enables the students to solve problems with scientific methods and with methods of computer science as quickly as possible.
- There is also the opportunity for early participation of students in mathematics-didactic research and development projects - a special feature of the training at the University of Osnabrück.
