Geoinformatics is a new interdisciplinary field. It is dedicated to the development and application of methods and concepts in computer science for solving spatial issues, with particular attention to the spatial reference of information. It deals with the collection or procurement, with modeling, with the preparation and above all with the analysis as well as the presentation and distribution of geodata.
