- Geoinformatics is a new interdisciplinary field with interfaces between mathematics, computer science, geography and economics. It is dedicated to solving spatial issues with the help of IT concepts. This includes the acquisition of data with GPS devices, route calculations with navigation systems or hazard assessments of contaminated sites in environmental information systems.
- The integration of geoinformatics (GI) and remote sensing represents a combination of subjects that is unique in Germany for GI students with great practical and research relevance, Computer Science, Cartography and Remote Sensing.
- The minor subject geoinformatics is more technical and therefore does without the basic lectures in computer science and mathematics. We offer a modern and practical range of courses as well as individual and intensive support for students.
