The "Biology" doctoral program was established as part of the "Membranes and Cellular Communication" doctoral program funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture. The doctoral program deals with the molecular, biochemical, biophysical, cell and developmental biological properties of cells. Ten research groups from biology and one working group from chemistry and physics each take part in the research and training program.
