- Atmosphere of the uni is always motivating
- Professors are really helpful
Dislikes
- The campus area is little small
- It does not have any ground to play some games
- At my time there was very less interaction with other students due to Corona
Course Curriculum
- The course is really very difficult as it has mix structure of Practical and Theoretical exams for the subjects. In some of the subject it requires only a practical submission.
- The positive aspect was the practical labs that gave me so much practical experience, which helped me understand the technologies more deeply and easily. Negative was the theoretical exams, which I just wrote to get it passed.
- 3 classes were scheduled per day during my time
- We had 60 students in one class
- There were roughly 50 indian students in my class
Admission Experience
- I applied to 4 different colleges during the time of Summer semester in 2020.
- I got confirmed admission from TH Deggendorf. All the other university has sent me rejection for the different courses.
- I got rejected from TH Schmalkalden, TU Münich, OTH Regensburg, and TU Duisburg
- I think my grades were not sufficient to get admission in most of the uni or I was really behind in the application timings. Some university was having issues with my English language proficiency.
- I was also planning to change the uni, but this Deggendorf has really good subjects and a course structure. I saw the uni, and I met professors who gave me motivation and helped me move forward with this course. I had to apply via the official online portal of THD, and the main thing was that it did not require any application fees. Once I applied, I got a confirmation email from uni and once the timeline finished for the application, I got ean mail for confirmed admission from the university. It also provided more details to get into the uni. e.g., payment of fees and other related documents. The eligibility criteria were German A2, IELTS minimum 5.5 bands, and the cutoff was around 2.6 grades. The overall admission experience was easy and minimum time consuming and easy to understand.
- I applied in the summer semester of 2020. The course structure was really good, and that is why I decided to get into the university.
- The admission process took almost 50 days in total.
- 20 days are required to get the confirmation of the application
- 30 days are required after the confirmation, e.g., the fees transfer, other required documents transfer, and supporting visa documents
Faculty
- The ratio was quite low, but the quality of the study was really good. If I have a particular question, then I am allowed to ask it to the professor via email or via a personal session with him/her.
- The teaching methodology was really good and was presented in an easy and structured manner. The practical and theoretical experience supported me to get the full time job in MNCs
- It was possible to get the part time or full-time job by reference.
- One of the professors was really kind, and he helped me with my Thesis so I admire him, and because of him, I have achieved really good progress in my personal and professional life.
Campus Life
- THD has 3 campuses, THD Main, THD Cham, THD Pffarkirschen.
- THD has a really nice library and medical room for emergencies.
- We were having very much fests and events throughout the study. Freshers' party got organized during the first semester, and there were also 3-4 DJ nights organized.
- We had to do a cultural event during the study. We were also asked to organize a picnic with students and professors

- TA gets around 48,000 euros/annum
- RA gets around 52,000 euros/annum
- DA got around 58,000 euros/annum
- Student union and support jobs are available on campus. The hourly wage is around 16 euros
- Per week, you are allowed to do 20 hours
- It is not that easy to get a job on campus, as many of the students are trying to acquire a job.
- The hourly rate is around 13-14 euros per hour, and also depends on the type of job you do. While studying, it is difficult to get a job; you have to actively look around for a job. also need to set the timing of the job and lectures so that one can not miss any of the important things. Students can apply from Stepstone and Glassdoor for jobs, and can also apply from the official website of the company.
Placement
- I think 85% of students got a job within 6 months after completing the course.
- The average salary range is from 50,000 euros to 65,000 euros per annum.
- After graduation, one can find a job on online websites like stepstons, indeed, glassdorf and one can apply from the official website of the company they want to be in.
- THD holds a special website for the students so they can apply directly from the web and easily
- Muehlbaure, Zollner, and RKT were the major companies to hire the fresh graduates
Accommodation
- I posted on FB, and I also asked my student union to find accommodation near the uni. They helped me to find the apartment. There are some websites that can be useful to get the accommodation eg Ebay Klienenisigen.
- The monthly rent was 200 euros, which includes electricity for my apartment.
- It was easy to get accommodation.
- My house was 2.5 km away from the uni.
Exams
- I had to give IELTS exam because my course was in english language
- All three required documents are SOP, LOR, and CV was must for admission
- There was no interview at the time of my admission. But now I see the new admission requires an entrance exam to get admission into the university. It has an online exam where you need to take the exam on a PC with a camera and a microphone.
