What Students Say
Likes
- I like the academic freedom the institution gives which means you have autonomy in conducting research.
Dislikes
- From my personal experience, there are many things that I dislike. There is no integration with the community here, lack of transparency, high bureaucratic process, people are super closed and also a bit conserved mindset.
Course Curriculum
- I attended only one lecture, which I would say was very relevant and very updated.
- They are not from the textbooks but are from the latest research articles and the concepts were taught from the published datasets.
Admission Experience
- Uni stuttgart was not my option; this opportunity came to me and I accepted. My overall experience is okayish. I didn't get a lot of chances to be part of something else in the university, mainly because of covid times, and there were not many events happening. So after many years there, I still feel I was not part of anything there.
Faculty
- My faculty is very big, comprising many different departments and courses, and they are quite approachable.
Campus Life
- There are few but unfortunately i joined during Covid and later I was completely into research so I couldn't participate in other activities. But there are facilities were students can participate, like gym, and many other courses like horse riding, swimming, massage, skydiving, tennis, etc.
Part Time Jobs
- Students can take up any part-time jobs, such as research assistant and also anywhere in restaurants, cafes, etc.
Placement
- None! it is very difficult. Fluent in german is a must to find any job.
Accommodation
- I used online platforms like WG-Gesucht, eBay Kleinanzeigen, Immoscout etc.
Exams
- You need SOP, motivation letter and research proposal.
Fees
- Approx 200 euros per semester
