Course Curriculum

10

  • Top notch. The professors are of great experience and experts in their own fields. Since the university is a technical uni, the focus is on research. For natural science, it's fundamental research with nearly no industry collaborations, while the engineering department has few links to companies. Especially the engineering students have the freedom to do their internships or projects with the companies.
  • The lecture schedules are, on average, two lectures per week. With one lecture – that can go up to 1.5 hrs. There will be a lot of exercise classes where students have to solve problems that they have to present in the upcoming class.
  • The natural science departments have a lower number of students, on average 15 per batch. While the engineering and IT classes can have up to 100 students per semester.

Admission Experience

  • I chose purely based on the course. The experimental physics department is awesome here. Also, we have the possibility of collaborations with the Max Plank institute. Also, I liked the city and the location of stuttgart in the south of Germany, making travel to other major European cities easy. Ofc. Porsche and mercedes benz belongs to Stuttgart.

Faculty

8

  • So perfect beyond words. We are all focused on research here. Driven by passion for science. Driven by curiosity. The student-to-professor ratio is well balanced in the faculty of 8, especially the physics department.

Campus Life

6

  • There are nearly no extracurricular activities provided by the university, because the university has more than 25 thousand students. So, activities are all limited to the faculties. However, the international center occasionally offers a few outdoor events. Sure, the individual departments also have a few semester parties. In general, the campus is lively in Summer.

Part Time Jobs

  • There are enough around. The best thing is to work as a research assistant. For natural science, this is very common and available due to the limited number of students. While engineering students also take some part-time jobs in companies. I won't say it is easy, but it is possible with a good effort.

Placement

6

  • On average, students may take up to a year to find a full-time job after graduating with a master's degree. Salary on average with tax can be around 60 thousand Euro per year. Students have to look for jobs and apply by themselves.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • Accommodation in the student hostels starts from 350 Eur per month. The rooms in general are single rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom. While there are also studio rooms. There are a few companies offering student rooms on the campus. You can also find shared apartments in the city, where you share one full apartment with 3 or 4 students.

Exams

  • An excellent grade in bachelor's—the better the best, IELTS

Fees

  • The university of stuttgart has a tuition fee of 1500 Eur per semester and a semester contribution of around 200 Eur. This is for all courses.
