- Great environment and location for masters students
- A good mix of international students from diverse backgrounds
- Amazing professors and mentors who led the program
Dislikes
- A very short program compared to most masters. Out of the 18 months 6 months is basically the internship period.
- Quite hectic for this program as most courses are completed quickly.
- Less time to spend with each subject with the workload.
Course Curriculum

The course was more theoretical than practical. The practical part would be the coding practice from each course. It would be one of the more difficult MSCs offer at EDHEC.

As there is quite a bit of content to be discussed in a program for data analytics, the first set consisted of basics like python, statistics and machine learning.

POSITIVE ASPECTS
- We had an amazing professor who took statistics and data mining for us. He was also my thesis mentor and loved by all students.
- Classes were quite engaging.
- The second semester has both a specialisation period and a personalisation period which was great for all students.
- This encouraged students to explore other msc topics and interact with other students.
- The Option Of Doing A Certificate or educational trip or 5 of your favourite courses was a good 2 months. -
NEGATIVE
- Less time per course as we had 6 sessions of 3 hours each and a course was done. This made it hard for the professor and students to complete.
- Machine learning was taken by a lesser experienced professor and every student faced issues in the course. But this was dealt with well by the program director.
- The course could have been extended to a full 18 months and then internship to really engage students better. Technically we spent 7 months on campus and the rest working on online courses and the thesis also which was all online including the final presentation.
Fees
- The total was around 21,000 euros taken in 3 deposits.
- First one before the start of the year one in between and one by December.
- Tuition - 21000
- Hostel - depends on the accommodation you choose.
- I chose to live off campus and paid 540 euros per month all charges included.
- France offers rent support for students and young professionals and the international office helps us with this too. Once set up depending on the residence type and if it is studio or home shared each student receives monthly support from the CAF organisation.
- I received 99 euros per month.
- Living charges obviously vary from person to person but for essentials and grocery it would come around 40 euros per week
- In the first week edhec helps students set up a bank account where 80 euros is given to each student when opening an account.
- For public transport edhec also provides a service to set up your card and it is upto the student to subscribe monthly or not. This was 35 euros per month.
- Monthly expenses including rent can be between 1000 euros to 1500 euros.
Likes
- Great campus, the campus is large with ground and a separate sport building for every sport, including a big swimming pool and a gym.
- Good faculty and teachers are highly qualified.
- Has a good brand name in all of France.
Dislikes
- Doesn't has direct campus recruitments rather has events that help to meet recruiters
- College associations have a majority of French students that makes it difficult of international students to get into.
- The campus is around 12 KM far from the main big city Lille.
Course Curriculum
- I would say that my course is a bit technical so its not that easy. It is a mix of both practical assignments as well as the theory exams.
- According to a business school I expected the course to be less technical and more business oriented but it is more technical and very less business oriented.
Fees
- The full tuition fee for the course was 26000 euros for the entire course.
- For me it was divided into 3 installments: 6500, 9750 and 9750. I paid 6500 as the first non-refundable scholarship from India and the second 1 month after coming and the other after 4 months that was the end of 1st semester and the beginning of 2nd.
- The rent depends on the place you live. If you live in a KOT that is personal room with an attached washroom but a shared kitchen with 6 people then it is 525 euros including electricity. If you live in a studio that has a personal kitchen it is 545 euros with approx. 40-60 euros for the electricity bill that is separate. If you live in a house with a landlord then it can be 400-450 euros per month. If you live in a shared house or student residencies then it can be 450-550 euros some have electricity included and some doesn't have. Student residencies do have breakfast included and the campus residencies as well.
