PSEB 12th Exam Pattern 2023
The key highlights of the class 12 exam pattern are as follows:
- The total marks for each subject are divided into theory, practicals, and CCE.
- General English and Punjabi paper are conducted for a total of 75 marks (theory 65 marks & CCE 10 marks). The minimum passing marks are 25.
- Environmental Education is conducted for a total of 50 marks (theory 45 marks & CCE 5 marks). The minimum passing marks are 17.
- Computer Science and Elective subjects are conducted for 100 marks.
- Computer Science theory is for 50, practicals for 40, CCE for 10 marks, and passing marks are 33.
- Elective subjects’ theory papers are conducted for 90 marks, CCE for 10 marks. The passing marks are 33.

CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation)
CCE stands for Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation which PSEB will use to evaluate a student’s knowledge:
- Under the CCE procedure, students will be evaluated on the basis of two criteria. 40 marks lie in the hands of the school and the theory paper will be based on the rest 60 marks.
- The 40 marks will be awarded to the students based on their attendance, interaction methods with teachers or other students, and more.
- This is a scientific method of evaluation and has been formulated after a complete analysis by the board so that no parent or student has any complaints or doesn't feel any other student is being favored.
