The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 is a national-level computer-based entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at central universities, IITs, NITs, Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), and other government colleges across India. NTA declared the NCET 2026 result on June 4, 2026, and university-level counselling registrations are now opening this week across participating institutions for 16,950 ITEP seats in 223 colleges. A total of 73,608 candidates registered and 58,995 appeared for the exam held on April 17 and 18, 2026 across 145 cities — a 35% jump in registrations from NCET 2025.
- Counselling: University-level NCET 2026 counselling registrations are opening now in the third week of June 2026. IIT Jodhpur’s portal is open from June 9–26, 2026, and Kurukshetra University’s deadline is June 30, 2026. More universities are expected to open portals this week. NTA does not conduct centralized counselling — you must apply separately at each institution you target.
- Merit List: Participating universities will release NCET 2026 merit lists in July 2026. Download your scorecard now from exams.nta.nic.in/ncet — it shows your All India Rank, sectional NTA scores, and qualifying status, all of which are needed to apply at each university. In 2025, merit lists were released in July–August.
- Seat Allotment: Round 1 seat allotment at participating institutions is expected by July–August 2026. IIT and NIT allotments typically happen before RIE and central university rounds. Last year, first allotment rounds were completed by August 2025 and most classes began in September 2025.
- Scorecard: The NCET 2026 scorecard is live at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet. It contains your name, photograph, section-wise NTA scores, total score out of 640, qualifying status, and All India Rank — you will need a printed copy to apply at every participating university you target.
What is NCET 2026?
NCET full form is National Common Entrance Test. NTA conducts this exam every year on behalf of NCTE — the National Council for Teacher Education. The main purpose of NCET is to serve as a single national-level gateway for admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP).
ITEP is a dual-degree programme introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It replaces the traditional 2-year B.Ed. for future teachers in India. After completing ITEP, you receive a combined degree — BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed, or B.Com B.Ed — making you eligible to teach at primary and secondary school levels in India. From 2030, a valid ITEP degree will be mandatory for school teaching jobs in India, making NCET one of the most strategically important entrance exams for students who plan a teaching career straight after Class 12.
For NCET 2026, 73,608 candidates registered and 58,995 appeared for the exam — a 35% jump over NCET 2025 where 54,470 registered. NTA held the exam on April 17 and 18, 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 145 cities in 13 regional languages. NTA declared the result on June 4, 2026. University-level counselling for 16,950 seats across 223 participating institutions is now in progress.

NCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
You should check the NCET 2026 eligibility criteria carefully before applying for future cycles. The eligibility is defined by NTA and NCTE. Individual participating universities may also add their own conditions beyond what NTA specifies — check each institution’s admission brochure separately during counselling.
Academic Qualification
- You must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from any recognised board — CBSE, ICSE, or State Boards
- Candidates appearing in Class 12 board exams in 2026 were eligible to apply provisionally — admission is subject to actually passing Class 12
- There is no specific stream restriction — students from Arts, Science, and Commerce can all apply
- NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) Senior Secondary Certificate with at least 5 subjects is also accepted
Qualifying Marks
NTA does not set a minimum Class 12 percentage just to appear in NCET. However, to qualify the exam itself, you must score at least the following percentile:
| Category | Qualifying Percentile |
|---|---|
| General / EWS | 50th Percentile |
| OBC-NCL | 45th Percentile |
| SC / ST | 45th Percentile |
| PwD | 45th Percentile |
For final admission, most participating universities require at least 50% marks in Class 12 for General and EWS candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. Each university sets its own NCET score-based admission cutoff on top of this Class 12 percentage requirement.
Age Limit
NTA has set no upper or lower age limit for appearing in NCET 2026. However, individual participating universities may have their own age conditions for ITEP admission. Always verify the admission brochure of each institution you target.
Subject Requirement
- Your Class 12 subjects must align with the domain subjects you choose in NCET
- For B.Sc B.Ed: choose science domain subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics)
- For BA B.Ed: choose humanities or social science subjects (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology)
- For B.Com B.Ed: choose commerce subjects (Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics)
Nationality
Indian nationals are eligible to apply. NRI/OCI candidates should check individual university policies for their applicable seat category and conditions.
NCET 2026 Application Process
The NCET 2026 registration window was open from February 12 to March 10, 2026 at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet. The 2026 application process is now closed. This section explains how registration works for candidates planning for NCET 2027.

Application Correction Window
NTA opened a correction window from March 12 to 14, 2026. Candidates could update personal details and exam city preferences during this window. Changes to language paper choice and domain subject selection were NOT allowed after initial submission — choosing the right subjects during original registration is critical.
Documents Required for Registration

- Scanned signature (on white paper, black or blue ink, as per NTA guidelines)
- Class 10 marksheet (for date of birth proof)
- Category certificate in the prescribed format for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD (if applicable)
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar or equivalent)
NCET 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
NCET 2026 was a 3-hour Computer-Based Test with 181 MCQ questions. You had to attempt any 160 of them. The structure is flexible — you choose your two languages and up to three domain subjects. Every section has slightly more questions than you need to attempt, giving you some choice within each section. The maximum score is 640 marks.
Section-wise Exam Pattern
| Section | Subject | Qs to Attempt | Max Marks | Nature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Section IA | Language I (choose 1 from 38+ languages) | 20 | 80 | Mandatory |
| Section IB | Language II (different from Language I) | 20 | 80 | Mandatory |
| Section III | Teaching Aptitude (same for all) | 20 | 80 | Mandatory |
| Section IV | General Test (same for all) | 25 | 100 | Mandatory |
| Section II | Domain Subject 1 (choose from 26 subjects) | 25 | 100 | Optional |
| Section II | Domain Subject 2 (different from Domain 1) | 25 | 100 | Optional |
| Section II | Domain Subject 3 (different from Domain 1 and 2) | 25 | 100 | Optional |
| Total | — | 160 | 640 | — |
You can choose 1, 2, or 3 domain subjects. Choosing all 3 gives you the maximum 640 marks and the widest choice of institutions. Most top-ranked universities prefer candidates who have chosen domain subjects aligned with their target ITEP programme (B.Sc B.Ed, BA B.Ed, or B.Com B.Ed).
NCET 2026 Marking Scheme
| Response Type | Marks |

NCET 2026 Participation Statistics
| Particulars | NCET 2025 | NCET 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Total Registered | 54,470 | 73,608 |
| Total Appeared | 44,927 | 58,995 |
| Attendance Rate | ~82.5% | 80.14% |

| Result Date | June 16–17, 2025 | June 4, 2026 |
The 35.1% jump in registered candidates from 2025 to 2026 shows rapidly growing interest in the ITEP programme. This also means competition for top colleges — especially IITs and RIEs — is higher in 2026 than 2025. The same score will fetch a lower rank in 2026 compared to last year.

NCET 2026 Answer Key
NTA released the NCET 2026 provisional answer key on April 28, 2026 — 10 days after the exam. This was faster than NCET 2025, where the provisional key came out on May 20, 2025. Candidates had from April 28 to April 30, 2026 to raise challenges against any answer key response, at Rs 200 per question challenged.
After reviewing all submitted objections through a panel of subject experts, NTA released the final answer key on June 4, 2026 — on the same day as the result. Scores are computed using the final answer key only.
| Particulars | Details |
|---|---|
| Provisional Answer Key Release | April 28, 2026 |
| Challenge Window | April 28–30, 2026 (11:50 PM) |
| Challenge Fee | Rs 200 per question (refunded if challenge is accepted) |
| Final Answer Key Released | June 4, 2026 (Out) |
| Where to Access | exams.nta.nic.in/ncet |
Use the final answer key — not the provisional key — to verify your responses. NTA does not notify individual candidates about the outcome of their specific challenges; accepted corrections appear silently in the final key and your score gets updated accordingly.
NCET 2026 Cutoff
NCET 2026 cutoff works at two separate levels. The first is the NTA qualifying cutoff — the minimum percentile score to get a qualifying certificate from NTA and become eligible for university admissions. The second is the institution-level admission cutoff — the actual closing score at each college, set independently by each university based on available seats and applicants. Just clearing the NTA qualifying cutoff does NOT guarantee admission anywhere.
NTA Qualifying Cutoff for NCET 2026
| Category | Qualifying Percentile | Approximate Qualifying Marks (out of 640) |
|---|---|---|
| General / Unreserved | 50th Percentile | 320 |
| OBC-NCL | 45th Percentile | 288 |
| SC | 45th Percentile | 288 |
| ST | 45th Percentile | 288 |
| EWS | 45th Percentile | 288 |
| PwD (General) | 40th Percentile | ~256 |
Qualifying marks above are approximate estimates based on standard NTA cutoff norms. Actual qualifying percentile scores for each category appear on each candidate’s NCET 2026 scorecard.
Expected Institution-level Admission Cutoff — NCET 2026
Because 2026 saw 35% more candidates than 2025, admission cutoffs at top institutions are expected to be higher than 2025. The values below are estimated ranges based on NCET 2025 trends. Actual 2026 cutoffs will be published by each university during their counselling rounds.
| Institution | Programme | General (Expected) | OBC-NCL (Expected) | SC (Expected) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IIT Kharagpur | B.Sc B.Ed | 355–370 | 335–350 | 315–330 |
| IIT Jodhpur | B.Sc B.Ed | 300–360 | 280–340 | 260–320 |
| IIT Bhubaneswar | B.Sc B.Ed | 335–355 | 315–335 | 295–315 |
| IIT Ropar | B.Sc B.Ed | 300–350 | 280–330 | 260–310 |
| RIE Mysuru | B.Sc B.Ed (Science) | 470–525 | 430–480 | 400–450 |
| RIE Ajmer | BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed | 455–505 | 415–465 | 385–435 |
| RIE Bhubaneswar | BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed | 440–490 | 400–450 | 370–420 |
| RIE Bhopal | BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed | 430–480 | 390–440 | 360–410 |
| NIT Trichy | B.Sc B.Ed | 370–415 | 340–385 | 310–355 |
| NIT Calicut | B.Sc B.Ed | 360–400 | 330–375 | 300–345 |
| Top Central Universities | BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed | 320–420 | 290–380 | 260–350 |
All institution-level cutoff values above are expected estimates based on 2025 trends. Actual NCET 2026 closing scores will be published by each institution after their counselling rounds are complete. With 35% more candidates in 2026, cutoffs at top institutions may be higher.
Why Are RIE Cutoffs Higher Than IIT Cutoffs?
RIE cutoffs appear higher than IIT cutoffs because more candidates specifically target RIEs for teacher education — RIEs under NCERT are the most established ITEP institutions in India with decades of teacher training history. Fewer seats and more dedicated applicants push their closing scores up. IITs have a broader applicant base but fewer dedicated teacher-education candidates targeting them, so closing scores are lower despite the brand value.
NCET 2026 Marks vs Rank Analysis
NTA does not publish an official NCET marks vs rank chart like JEE Main or NEET. But you can estimate your rank from your score using the total candidate data. In NCET 2026, 58,995 candidates appeared — and with only 16,950 seats available, the overall competition ratio is approximately 3.5 qualified candidates per seat. Because 2026 saw 35% more candidates than 2025, a given score fetches a lower rank in 2026 compared to the same score in 2025.
| Score Range (out of 640) | Expected All India Rank (2026) | Likely Admission Prospects |
|---|---|---|
| 530–640 | Top 50–100 | Any IIT (B.Sc B.Ed), top RIE in preferred stream |
| 460–529 | 101–800 | IIT / Top RIE (Science stream) |
| 400–459 | 801–3,000 | RIE / NIT / Top Central University |
| 350–399 | 3,001–8,000 | NIT / Good Central University |
| 320–349 | 8,001–18,000 | Central University / State University (General qualifying range) |
| 288–319 | 18,001–28,000 | State University / Government College (Reserved category qualifying range) |
| Below 288 | Below 28,000 | Very limited options; may not qualify for reserved category cutoff |
These rank estimates are indicative, based on NCET 2025 score distribution and 2026 participation data. Individual All India Ranks are already shown on the NCET 2026 scorecard declared on June 4, 2026. Use this table as rough planning orientation, not as a guaranteed outcome.
Year-on-Year NCET Comparison
| Parameter | NCET 2025 | NCET 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Total Registered | 54,470 | 73,608 (+35.1%) |
| Total Appeared | 44,927 | 58,995 (+31.3%) |
| Total Seats | ~13,000 | 16,950 (+30.4%) |
| Competition Ratio (appeared : seats) | ~3.5 : 1 | ~3.5 : 1 |
| Exam Date | April 29, 2025 | April 17–18, 2026 |
| Result Date | June 16–17, 2025 | June 4, 2026 |
While both registrations and seats grew by around 30–35%, the competition ratio stayed approximately the same — meaning overall admission difficulty is similar to 2025, though top-institution cutoffs may shift slightly due to higher absolute numbers.
NCET 2026 Counselling Process
NCET 2026 counselling is decentralized — NTA’s role ends with providing the scorecard. Each of the 223 participating institutions independently conducts its own admission process based on NCET scores. You must register and apply separately at every university you want to join. There is no single portal or centralized seat allocation like JoSAA for JEE or MCC for NEET.
There is NO single NCET counselling portal. You must apply independently at each university. There is no automatic seat allocation based on your rank — you have to register, apply, and track merit lists at every university you target separately.
Current Counselling Status (June 18, 2026)
University portals are opening now in the third week of June 2026. Based on available information:
| Institution | Portal Status | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| IIT Jodhpur | Open | June 26, 2026 |
| Kurukshetra University | Open | June 30, 2026 |
| Multiple Central Universities | Opening June–July 2026 | Check individual portals |
| RIEs (Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru) | Expected July 2026 | Check official RIE / NCERT websites |
Step-by-Step NCET Counselling Process

- Step 3 — Apply at Each University: Register on each university’s own admission portal — many central universities use the Samarth platform (samarth.edu.in); IITs and NITs have their own portals. Pay each university’s individual application fee if applicable.
- Step 4 — Track Merit Lists: After the application deadline, each university releases merit lists based on NCET scores, category, and course choice. Check each university’s website — there is no common aggregator platform.
- Step 5 — Document Verification: If selected, attend document verification in person or online as required by the institution. Carry original documents and photocopies.
- Step 6 — Pay Seat Acceptance Fee: Confirm your admission by paying the seat acceptance fee within the specified deadline. Missing this deadline means losing the allotted seat.

NCET 2026 Preparation Tips
The NCET 2026 exam is now over and results are declared. If you are preparing for NCET 2027 or reviewing your strategy after NCET 2026, these section-wise tips will help you build a more effective approach. NCET tests Class 12-level subject knowledge alongside teaching aptitude and general awareness — a structured, focused plan across all sections works best.
Language I and Language II
- Read a newspaper or a good book daily in your chosen language — comprehension speed is the key skill in both language sections
- Practice grammar exercises from NCERT Class 12 language textbooks for both your chosen languages
- Focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and error correction — these are the most common question types
- Choose languages you are genuinely strong in — picking a language just because it seems "easy" backfires if you are not comfortable with it under time pressure
Teaching Aptitude
- This section is unique to NCET — you will not find it in most other entrance exams. Start with introductory pedagogy and educational psychology books
- Understand learning theories — Piaget’s cognitive stages, Vygotsky’s social learning, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Kohlberg’s moral development
- Read about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the structure and purpose of ITEP — policy context questions come up regularly
- Solve the NCET 2025 Teaching Aptitude section specifically to understand difficulty level and question patterns
- Do not ignore Teaching Aptitude — it carries 80 marks, same as each Language section
General Test
- Read a national newspaper or a monthly current affairs digest regularly — 15–20 minutes daily for 3–4 months before the exam is enough
- Practice quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning questions daily to build speed
- Time yourself on General Test mock questions — 25 questions under time pressure can trip you up without practice
- Focus on percentage, ratio, profit-loss, and data interpretation — these are the most frequently asked quantitative topics in NCET
Domain Subjects
- NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks are your primary resource for all domain subjects — NCET questions closely follow NCERT content
- Cover every chapter in your chosen subjects — do not skip chapters thinking they are low-weightage
- Practice CBSE Class 12 board exam papers for your domain subjects to build speed and accuracy
- For Science subjects, NCERT Exemplar problems add excellent practice beyond the textbook exercises
- Scoring 80–90% in domain subjects (20–22 correct out of 25 per subject) is the key differentiator between top ranks and average ranks in NCET
Overall Strategy
- Start early: NCET has a wide syllabus across 4–5 sections plus domain subjects — begin at least 4–5 months before the exam
- Full-length mock tests: Start timed full-length mock tests in the last 6 weeks — time management is a significant challenge in this exam
- Negative marking awareness: With −1 per wrong answer, do not guess randomly. Skip a question if you are less than 60% confident — a blank gives 0 but a wrong answer costs 5 marks net (−1 instead of +4)
- Use NTA Abhyas app: This free NTA tool has the most authentic practice questions in NCET exam format
- Solve both previous year papers: NCET currently has only NCET 2025 and NCET 2026 papers available — solve both thoroughly, first to understand the pattern and then as timed full-length tests
FAQs on NCET 2026
Ques. What is NCET exam?
Ans. NCET stands for National Common Entrance Test. It is a national-level computer-based exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). NCET is the gateway for admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) — a dual-degree programme (BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed, or B.Com B.Ed) at central universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs, and other government colleges across India. After completing ITEP, you are eligible to teach in schools and appear for CTET.
Ques. Has the NCET 2026 result been declared?
Ans. Yes, the NCET 2026 result was declared by NTA on June 4, 2026 — 12 days earlier than the 2025 result declaration date of June 16, 2025. The final answer key was also released on June 4. Candidates can download their scorecard at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet using their Application Number and Date of Birth. The scorecard shows your section-wise scores, total NTA score out of 640, All India Rank, and qualifying status.
Ques. When will NCET 2026 counselling start?
Ans. NCET 2026 university-level counselling registrations are opening now in June 2026. There is no centralized counselling — each of the 223 participating universities runs its own admission process independently. IIT Jodhpur’s portal is open until June 26, 2026; Kurukshetra University’s deadline is June 30, 2026. Most universities are expected to open their portals in June–July 2026. Merit lists will follow in July and seat allotment rounds in July–August 2026. You must apply separately at each institution you target.
Ques. What is the qualifying cutoff for NCET 2026?
Ans. To qualify NCET 2026, General and EWS candidates must score at least the 50th percentile (approximately 320 out of 640). SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD candidates need at least the 45th percentile (approximately 288 out of 640). Qualifying the exam is only the first step. To get into IITs, NITs, or top RIEs, you need a score significantly above the qualifying threshold — those institutions have far more competitive admission cutoffs based on merit and available seats.
Ques. How many seats are there in NCET 2026?
Ans. A total of 16,950 ITEP seats are available through NCET 2026 across 223 participating institutions. These include 4 Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) under NCERT, 5 IITs, 5 NITs, 62 central universities, 18 state universities, and over 129 government colleges across India. The seats are divided across BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed, and B.Com B.Ed programmes. B.Sc B.Ed seats are the most competitive.
Ques. Is NCET counselling centralized like JoSAA for JEE?
Ans. No, NCET counselling is NOT centralized. NTA only conducts the exam and issues scorecards — it does not run a single counselling portal. Each of the 223 participating universities independently manages admissions based on NCET scores. You must visit every target university’s official website, register separately, pay their individual fees, and track their merit lists. There is no equivalent of JoSAA or MCC for NCET — planning and tracking across multiple portals is entirely your responsibility.
Ques. What is NCET 2026 exam pattern?
Ans. NCET 2026 was a 3-hour computer-based test with 181 MCQ questions, of which candidates had to attempt 160. The paper had 4 mandatory sections — Language I (20 questions, 80 marks), Language II (20 questions, 80 marks), Teaching Aptitude (20 questions, 80 marks), and General Test (25 questions, 100 marks) — plus up to 3 optional domain subjects (25 questions and 100 marks each). Correct answers give +4 marks and wrong answers give −1 mark. Maximum marks are 640.
Ques. What is the eligibility for NCET 2026?
Ans. To appear in NCET 2026, you need to have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognised board. Students appearing in Class 12 in 2026 were also eligible to apply provisionally. NTA has not set any age limit. For final admission, most universities require at least 50% marks in Class 12 for General category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD — though individual universities may have their own additional requirements. Your Class 12 subjects must also align with the domain subjects you choose in NCET.
Ques. How many candidates appeared for NCET 2026?
Ans. A total of 73,608 candidates registered for NCET 2026 and 58,995 appeared — an attendance rate of 80.14%. This is a 35% jump in registrations over NCET 2025, where 54,470 registered and 44,927 appeared. The exam was held on April 17 and 18, 2026 across 145 exam cities in India. The growing participation reflects rising awareness of the 4-year ITEP programme as the future of teacher education in India.
Ques. What is ITEP and why is it important?
Ans. ITEP stands for 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme. It was introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. ITEP combines your bachelor’s degree (BA/B.Sc/B.Com) with a B.Ed. in a single 4-year programme — saving you one year compared to doing them separately. After completing ITEP, you are eligible to appear for CTET and apply for school teaching jobs across India. Most importantly, from 2030, having an ITEP degree will be mandatory for new school teacher appointments in India — making NCET the most future-ready teacher education qualification available right after Class 12.
Ques. Can I get into an IIT through NCET 2026?
Ans. Yes. Five IITs — IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Ropar, IIT Jodhpur, and IIT Gandhinagar — offer the B.Sc B.Ed programme (ITEP) and accept NCET scores for admission. This is the B.Sc B.Ed programme, not the regular B.Tech. You need a competitive NCET score of approximately 300–370+ (General category, depending on the specific IIT) to have a realistic chance at IIT-level ITEP seats. IIT Jodhpur’s admission portal is currently open until June 26, 2026 — candidates should apply immediately if interested.
Ques. What documents do I need for NCET 2026 counselling?
Ans. For NCET 2026 counselling at participating universities, you will need: NCET 2026 scorecard (printed), Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate, Class 10 marksheet (for date of birth proof), category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS (if applicable), PwD certificate (if applicable), transfer certificate and migration certificate from your last institution, government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport), and 6–8 recent passport-size photographs. Some institutions may ask for additional documents — always check each university’s specific admission notification before attending document verification.

`★ Insight ─────────────────────────────────────` **Three editorial decisions worth noting:** 1. **Dates table order** — upcoming counselling events (June 26, June 30, July merit lists) appear first per the skill’s Rule 2; all past events (Feb–June 4) follow in oldest-first order with red `(Over)/(Out)` tags. 2. **Trigger framing** — counselling is referenced in the intro, Latest Updates, and Counselling sections in place, but the article remains the full lifecycle overview. The trigger never hijacked the H1 or article scope. 3. **Registration vs appeared distinction** — the existing file incorrectly used 73,608 as the "appeared" count; corrected to 73,608 registered / 58,995 appeared throughout all tables and prose. `─────────────────────────────────────────────────`

Your score of 259/640 is a highly competitive mark for the SC category, as the expected closing cutoff for the B.Sc (Agriculture) + B.Ed program at BHU ranges between 225 and 255 marks. It is much more than just a qualifying score; you have a strong chance and should definitely apply for counseling.
Preparing for NCET using quality sample papers is beneficial as they help understand exam patterns, question types, and time management. However, relying solely on them may not be enough. Complementing sample papers with NCET syllabus study, conceptual clarity, and regular revision ensures thorough preparation and higher chances of success.
