MAH CET Counselling 2026: Round 4 Option Form Filling Closes Today, Choice Filling & Seat Allotment

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has opened the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 4 option form for MAH MBA CET 2026, allowing candidates to submit fresh college and course preferences for the remaining MBA/MMS vacancies. The Round 4 process began on August 29, 2026, and the option-filling window closes today, August 31, 2026.

Round 4 is being conducted to fill seats left vacant across the 300-plus MBA/MMS institutes participating in CAP 2026, including JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and Welingkar. Candidates who registered for CAP and have not yet secured or confirmed a seat are eligible to participate by logging in and submitting a revised list of institute-course preferences. The provisional seat allotment for Round 4 is expected to be declared on September 3, 2026.

The MAH CET Counselling process for 2026 involves

Step 1: Online Registration and Document Verification

• Earlier, candidates had to send the duly filled form to the facilitation centre for verification and confirmation of application submission via post and visit the FCs for document verification.
• The list of designated facilitation centres was announced by the authorities.
• The document verification process has been made online and is done through e-scrutiny centres. Successfully verified candidates will be issued a verification receipt online. In case of any discrepancy found in the documents, candidates will have to resubmit the documents.

Step 2: Online Choice Filling and Locking

• Choose the desired colleges and programs. Candidates can choose a maximum of 300 colleges and institutes from the list.
• Lock the choices before the deadline.
• After locking, the candidates won’t be allowed to edit the choices filled.

Step 3: Release of Provisional Merit List

• After the successful submission of the application form for MAH CET Counselling, a provisional merit list containing the names of the selected candidates will be released.
• Candidates can file their grievances, if any, at the designated facilitation center after which the final merit list will be announced.

Step 4: Release of Final Merit List

• The final merit list will be announced along with the availability of seats for all three CAP rounds.
• Candidates who appear for any round of MAH CET CAP need to report at the ARC (Admission Reporting Centre) for verification of documents and confirmation of admission.

Step 5: Seat Allotment

• The seats are allotted based on the candidate’s rank in the merit list. After the provisional seat allotment, the students given a seat as per their first preference have to accept it and freeze their seat, as they are barred from participating in further rounds of the CAP process for MAH CET 2025 Admission.
• The students who are allotted a seat in the first round of CAP can’t participate in the subsequent CAP rounds, as their seat is automatically frozen.

Step 6: Seat Acceptance Fee

• Candidates need to pay the required seat acceptance fee.
• The transaction can be done through Net Banking/ e-Challan.

Step 7: Edit Information during Verification of Documents at the Allotted College

Candidates will be allowed to change only the following information at the time of document verification:

• Gender
• MAH CET scores
• The category of backward class, but the change from General to the Reserved category will not be permitted.
• Change from the reserved category to the general will be permitted in case of failure to present relevant documents.
• Change in home university
• Withdrawal of Reserved category status, like Minority, Disability, Defence, etc., in case of failure to submit the required documents.
• Change in Type of Candidature
• Removal of Tuition Fee Waiver Seats (TFWS)
• Change in Educational Qualification details

Step 8: Reporting to the Allotted College

The candidates need to report to the allotted college on the specified date for orientation and confirmation.
