Ques. My login credentials are "Invalid," but I am sure they are correct. How can I fix this?
Ans. Double-check that you are entering your Application Number (not your Roll Number) and that your Date of Birth is in the exact format required. If it still fails, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your credentials via your registered email or mobile number.
Ques. What does it mean if my result status shows "No Record Found" or "Withheld"?
Ans. A "No Record Found" usually indicates a temporary server sync delay or incorrect entry of details, while "Withheld" suggests a discrepancy in your eligibility documents or a technical flag from the exam centre. You should wait 24 hours for the system to update and, if the status remains unchanged, contact the State CET Cell helpdesk immediately to resolve the issue.
MAH B.Ed CET Result 2026: Tie Breaker
In the event that two or more candidates achieve the same normalised score and percentile in the MAH B.Ed CET 2026, the State CET Cell applies a specific set of "Tie-Breaking" rules to determine the final merit rank.
The merit list is generated by the calculation of percentile among the candidates aspiring for the Maharashtra State Seats, for the All India Seats and J&K Migrant Seats.
The following order of preference is considered while preparing the merit list during a tie-breaker:
MAH B.Ed CET 2026: Tie-Breaking Criteria
| Priority | Criteria | Description |
|---|---|---|
| First Preference | Class 12th (HSC) Marks | Candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in Higher Secondary (Std. XII) or equivalent will be ranked higher. |
| Second Preference | Class 10th (SSC) Marks | If the tie persists, the candidate with a higher percentage of marks in Senior Secondary (Std. X) or equivalent is preferred. |
| Third Preference | Age (Date of Birth) | If the tie still exists, the older candidate (based on birth date) will be given the higher merit position. |

Ques. Is the CET Hall Ticket necessary for admission even after the results are out?

For OBC, VJ/DT, NT, and SBC categories, a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (valid up to March 31, 2027) is essential. EWS candidates must provide the Eligibility Certificate for Economically Weaker Section issued by the competent authority of Maharashtra State.
MAH B.Ed CET Result 2026: Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks (also called passing or eligibility marks for the CET) have remained unchanged for several years. They serve as the basic threshold to be considered for the merit list and Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
These are not the college admission cut-offs (which are much higher and depend on rank, category, and seat availability).
| Category | Qualifying Marks (Out of 100) |
|---|---|
| General (Open) | 30 marks |
| EWS/OBC | 30 marks |
| SC/ST | No minimum qualifying marks |
| ELCT (English Medium) | 30 marks |
Ques. What is the minimum qualifying score for the General vs. Reserved categories?
Ans. For the 2026 session, the State CET Cell has defined the minimum qualifying marks out of 100 as follows:
- General /OBC /EWS /VJ /NT /SBC: Candidates must score a minimum of 30 marks to be eligible for the CAP rounds.
- SC /ST: There is no specific minimum qualifying score; these candidates only need a non-zero score (at least 1 mark) to qualify for counselling.
Ques. Is there a separate qualifying mark for the ELCT (English Language Content Test)?
Ans. The minimum qualifying score for ELCT is generally 20 to 30 marks (out of 50) for the General and OBC categories.
If you fail to meet the ELCT qualifying criteria but score well in the main CET, you will still be eligible for Marathi, Hindi, or Urdu medium colleges, but you will be disqualified from English medium institutes.
MAH BEd CET Result 2026: Mark vs Rank
MAH B.Ed CET 2026 Rank will be calculated based on the scores of the candidate and the total number of candidates who registered for the exam. The rank ranges provided in the table above are an expected rank range derived from a comprehensive analysis of previous years' trends (2025–2021):
| Marks | Rank Range |
|---|---|
| 95–100 | 1–10 |
| 90–94 | 11–50 |
| 85–89 | 51–250 |
| 80–84 | 251–600 |
| 75–79 | 601–1,500 |
| 70–74 | 1,501–3,000 |
| 65–69 | 3,001–6,000 |
| 60–64 | 6,001–10,000 |
| 50–59 | 10,001–20,000 |
| 40–49 | 20,001–40,000+ |
| Below 40 | 40,001+ |
Ques. How is my final rank calculated if the exam had multiple shifts?
Ans. Because the difficulty level of papers can vary across different slots (March 27–29), the State CET Cell uses Normalization. Your raw marks are converted into a Percentile Score, which represents your relative performance against other test-takers in your specific session. The final merit rank is then derived from these percentiles, which are calculated up to 7 decimal places to minimise ties.
Ques. Will a high mark in the main CET guarantee a rank for English Medium colleges?
Ans. Not necessarily. For English Medium colleges, your rank is calculated based on a combined merit of the main CET (100 marks) and the ELCT (50 marks). Even if you score 95/100 in the CET, if you do not meet the minimum qualifying ELCT score (usually 30/50 for General), you will be excluded from the English-medium merit list entirely.
Ques. Why do two people with the same marks sometimes have different ranks?
Ans. If two candidates have identical percentile scores, the Tie-Breaking Rules are applied in this order:
- Higher percentage in HSC (Std. XII).
- Higher percentage in SSC (Std. X).
- The older candidate by birth date is given preference. This ensures every candidate is assigned a unique rank for the CAP rounds.

MAH B.Ed CET Result 2026: Good Score
A Good Score in MAH B.Ed CET is according to the college preference, category, and the general level of competition in a particular year.
A score of more than 75 marks out of 100 is generally regarded as good for top B.Ed colleges such as BTTC Mumbai or Government College of Education, Pune.
For English medium institutions, ELCT (English Language Content Test) performance becomes essential as well.
- An 80+ score usually guarantees a position below 200, which is essential for premier colleges such as BTTC Mumbai and the Government College of Education, Pune.
- There are about 4,000–5,000 seats available, so scores of more than 60 can get entry into private colleges if the category/quota is applicable.
- Students aspiring to English-medium courses should also do well in ELCT, for which 30+ is a good mark.
| Score Range | Admission Possibility |
|---|---|
| 90–100 | It gives guaranteed admission to the top 3 colleges |
| 80–89 | Accepted by the top government/aided colleges |
| 70–79 | Moderate chances for mid-tier urban colleges |
| 60–69 | Low to moderate chance in private/self-financed ones |
| Below 69 | Difficult unless SC/ST or management quota applies |

FAQs
Ques. On Quora, a candidate was asking a very relevant question which are often asked by many students who take a gap year. The question is: “Is there any chance for me to get admission in a B.Ed programme after two years of educational gap?”
Ans. Yes, there is a good chance for you to get admission in a B.Ed programme in Maharashtra even after a two-year educational gap, provided you meet the core eligibility criteria for MAH BEd CET 2026 and the subsequent Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
The official MAH BEd CET 2026 Information Brochure (and previous years) from the State Common Entrance Test Cell does not mention any restriction on educational gaps, study breaks, or years since graduation.
Ques. Can non-Maharashtra domicile students get good colleges through the MAH BEd CET?
Ans. Yes, non-Maharashtra domicile students can definitely appear for MAH BEd CET 2026 and get admission in B.Ed colleges in Maharashtra. However, there are some important limitations compared to Maharashtra domicile students, especially when it comes to seat availability and "good" colleges.
Ques. Another MAH BEd CET candidate was asking their doubt on Quora, “If a person gets back in the last semester of a BSc but has more than 50%, can he or she get admission in B.Ed. (cleared the B. Ed entrance too)?”
Ans. Yes, the person can get admission in B.Ed through MAH B.Ed CET 2026, even if they had a backlog (ATKT or "back") in the last semester of BSc, provided they clear all backlogs, pass the final semester, and obtain the graduation degree (or provisional passing certificate) with the required minimum aggregate marks before the final document verification and admission confirmation in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
Ques. What is the difference between MAH B.Ed CET (General) and ELCT (English Language Content Test)?
Ans. MAH B.Ed CET (General) is the main common entrance test required for admission to all B.Ed colleges in Maharashtra (including Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, and English medium). ELCT (English Language Content Test) is an additional test that candidates must appear for only if they want admission to English-medium B.Ed colleges. You can appear for the General CET without ELCT, but you cannot get admission to English-medium colleges without qualifying in ELCT.
Ques. Will the result be declared in April or May 2026? Any official notice?
Ans. As of 18th April 2026, the State CET Cell has not yet released any official notification announcing the exact result date for MAH B.Ed CET 2026.
The official website currently shows notices related to the exam, but no result declaration date has been published.
