Kerala plus two syllabus 2022-23 has been released on the official website of KBPE. Kerala Board releases syllabus for all the three streams – science, commerce and arts in PDF format. Students can download syllabus for all the subjects through board’s website.

The subjects covered in Kerala class 12 board exams are as follows: 

  • There are four compulsory papers in class 12 including one language paper i.e. English Language and Literature.
  • The fifth subject is elective and it depends upon the stream of the candidate. 
  • Candidates from science stream can choose economics, physical education, language paper etc. as optional subjects.
  • Candidates from commerce can elect music, sanskrit, physical education, hindi, etc and arts stream students can choose from geology, home science, language paper, etc.
  • It is mandatory for students to pass in compulsory as well as optional subjects.

Kerala Plus Two Science Syllabus 2022-23

The important subjects of the science stream are physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, and computer science. English is a compulsory subject, and there are many other optional language subjects apart from this. Detailed syllabus of all the subjects of science stream is given below:

Passing Criteria

Kerala Plus Two Exams: Passing Criteria

In order to pass in Kerala HSE exams, students have to score a minimum of 30% marks in the theory and 30% marks in the practical or internal examination of each subject. Apart from this, students also have to achieve 30% marks in aggregate in all the subjects. 

  • If a candidate acquires a grade higher than D+ in all the internal assessment subjects, he/ she can receive the pass certificate.
  • Students have to obtain a minimum of 30% marks in all the five external examination subjects (main/compartmental).
  • For the subjects involving practical work, students have to secure 30% marks in theory and 30% marks in practical separately to qualify.
