GUJCET exam pattern 2024 is available at gseb.org. No changes have been made in the exam pattern for GUJCET 2024. GUJCET comprises two papers. Paper 1 consists of Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2 consists of Mathematics or Biology.

If you are aspiring for Engineering then during GUJCET 2024 exam you have to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. If you aspire to Pharmacy then you have to take exams for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Latest Update:

From both Paper 1 and Paper 2 40 questions will be asked for each subject. Therefore the total number of questions asked in GUJCET 2024 is 120 questions. GUJCET total marks are 120. For Paper 1 and 40 marks for each section and in the case of Paper 2 it same as Paper 1 is 40 marks. GUJCET has a negative marking of 0.25 mark. Each question carries 1 mark.

There is a difference in the duration of GUJCET 2024:

  • For Paper 1 Physics and Chemistry 120 minutes will be provided.
  • For Paper 2 Mathematics or Biology 60 minutes will be provided.

GUJCET Syllabus 2024 will be based on class 12 NCERT books. As discussed above you have to prepare for Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology subjects to qualify for GUJCET exam 2024.


Ques: What is the difficulty level of GUJCET 2024?

Ans: The difficulty level of GUJCET is the same as class 12. The syllabus is based on classes 11 and 12. GUJCET question paper requires an in-depth understanding of the subjects as the questions are tricky. You must have cleared the basic concepts of each subject to get a good score.

Ques: Can I change the language of GUJCET question paper?

Ans: GUJCET question paper is available in three languages English, Hindi and Gujrati. You can change your language among three of these three languages. In total, GUJCET is conducted in 3 languages and you have the option to select any language out of the available options.

Ques: Is GUJCET conducted online or offline?

Ans: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board conducts GUJCET 2024 offline as a pen and paper-based test. An OMR sheet will be provided to you to mark the answer. GUJCET is conducted for admission in two courses B.Tech and B.Pharma.

  • Know your GUJCET syllabus and GUJCET exam pattern: Study each chapter until you have understood the concept. After completing the chapter solve the previous year's questions paper to test your understanding of the concept.
  • Plan and prepare a study plan: Divide the topics into three categories- easy, difficult and very difficult. This will help you to divide the time required for each of the topics.

Ques: How much time is required to complete GUJCET syllabus 2024?

Ans: The time required to complete GUJCET syllabus 2024 depends on each student. It takes an entire year to complete GUJCET syllabus as it includes the syllabus from class 11 and class 12 as well. If you are in class 12 then it will be easier for you to complete the syllabus as you are already aware of the syllabus of class 11.

Ques: What type of questions are asked in GUJCET exam 2024?

Ans: In GUJCET you get questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics if you have applied for a B.Tech course. Or if you have applied for a B.Pharma course then you expect questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The exam will take place in offline mode. OMR Sheets will be provided to you to mark your answer.

Ques: What is a passing mark in GUJCET 2024?

Ans: As the pattern set by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board for GUJCET 2024 for general category candidates minimum 54 marks is required to qualify GUJCET. In case of reserved category candidates minimum 48 mark is required out of 120 marks.

Ques: Do I need to attemp all the questions in GUJCET exam 2024?

Ans: It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in exam.It is upto you that how many questions out of total 120 questions in the exam is known to you.You are advised to attempt only those questions for which they can arrive at the answer/solutions.

Ques: What is the important instructions to be followed for GUJCET OMR sheet?

Ans: The answers will be recorded in an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet that is given with the question paper in the examination hall. There are a few guidelines followed by candidates:

  • OMR sheet and question paper had A, B, C, D type written on it. Candidates will be required to fill in the OMR sheet details accordingly.
  • Candidates checked whether the pre-printed type of booklet and answer sheet is the same.
  • Candidates will be required to circle the correct alternative with a blue or black pen. The circle had to be darkened completely.
  • Redoing and darkening two circles or canceling the darkened circles is not allowed. Candidates had to darken only ONE circle.

Ques: Is there any negative marking in GUJCET 2024?

Ans: Yes, there is negative marking in GUJCET exam 2024. ¼ th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. In GUJCET exam, each question is of 1 marks and for every incorrect answer, one-fourth (O.25) mark is deducted. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
