Delhi University (DU) has replaced its erstwhile entrance test (DUET) with the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), which allocates over 71,000 UG seats across 91 constituent colleges exclusively on the basis of CUET UG 2026 scores. The DU CSAS UG 2026 registration is now open at ugadmission.uod.ac.in from 17 June 2026; the last date to register is tentatively 30 June 2026. The non-refundable registration fee is ₹250 for General/OBC/EWS and ₹100 for SC/ST/PwBD students.

What is DUET Application Form 2026?

Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) was the entrance examination previously conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for postgraduate and select undergraduate programme admissions at the University of Delhi. From 2022 onwards, DU replaced DUET with the CUET UG-based Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for all undergraduate admissions. All 91 constituent colleges and 79 UG programmes — from B.A. (Honours) to B.Tech — now allocate seats through the CSAS portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in, entirely on the basis of CUET UG scores.

For the 2026–27 session, the CSAS portal opened on 17 June 2026, days after CUET UG 2026 results were declared by NTA. You must have a valid CUET UG 2026 Application Number and Roll Number to register. There is no group discussion, interview, or separate entrance test — your CUET percentile in the required subjects directly determines which college and course you are allotted.

DUET Registration Trends — Last 5 Years

CSAS registrations dropped sharply in 2022 — the first year of the CUET-based system — because many students were unfamiliar with the dual CUET + CSAS process. Numbers rebounded strongly in 2023 (3.04 lakh), remained above 3 lakh through 2025, and 2026 registrations are expected in the 3.0–3.2 lakh range as CUET participation broadens. Near-100% seat fill rates across all CSAS cycles confirm that DU remains one of the most competed-for universities in India.

DUET Application Form 2026: Important Dates

Dates marked “Tentative” are based on the DU UG Bulletin of Information 2026–27 (released 6 January 2026) and the 2025 CSAS schedule. Confirm every deadline at ugadmission.uod.ac.in before acting.

Note: Missing any CSAS deadline — registration, preference filling, or seat acceptance — results in the permanent loss of your DU admission opportunity for the 2026–27 session. No extensions are granted for individual students who miss the deadline.

DUET 2026 Eligibility Criteria (Before You Apply)

Verify eligibility before registering on the CSAS portal. Registering without meeting the criteria leads to cancellation of your seat at the document verification stage, with no fee refund.

• CUET UG 2026 Score (mandatory): You must have appeared in CUET UG 2026. Your CUET Application Number and Roll Number are required at the time of CSAS registration.
• Class 12 Qualification: You must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 from a board recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Appearing students must submit the final marksheet at document verification; seats are cancelled if the qualification is not met.
• Subject Requirement: You must have appeared in CUET UG 2026 in the exact subjects specified for your desired programme. Refer to the DU UG Bulletin of Information 2026–27 for the required subject combination per programme.
• Minimum Marks: DU does not set a universal minimum aggregate for CSAS registration. Individual programmes have their own CUET-score-based cutoffs published at the time of each seat allocation round.
• Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and foreign nationals are eligible. Foreign nationals follow a separate process through the International Students’ Centre.
• Age Limit: No upper age limit applies for most DU UG programmes unless the specific programme notification states otherwise.

Note: Verify that the CUET UG 2026 subjects you appeared in exactly match the combination required by your target programme at DU — a subject mismatch is an irrecoverable eligibility failure at document verification, and your seat will be cancelled.

How to Fill DUET Application Form 2026

The DU CSAS UG 2026 process runs in two phases. Phase 1 (CSAS Registration) is currently open and must be completed by 30 June 2026 (tentative). Phase 2 (Preference Filling) opens after CUET UG 2026 scores are updated on the portal, expected in July 2026.

Phase 1: New Registration on the CSAS Portal

1. Visit ugadmission.uod.ac.in and click “New Registration”.
2. Enter your CUET UG 2026 Application Number, Roll Number, and Date of Birth exactly as registered with NTA.
3. Verify your mobile number with the OTP sent via SMS, then set a strong password. Save your Application Number and password — you need them for every future login.
4. Your personal and academic details (name, date of birth, category, CUET subjects) will be auto-fetched from the NTA CUET 2026 database. Review each field carefully for accuracy before proceeding.
5. Select your Class 12 stream and upload the required documents (photograph, signature, category certificate if applicable) in the specified format and size.
6. Pay the registration fee — ₹250 for General/OBC/EWS or ₹100 for SC/ST/PwBD — via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
7. Download and save your CSAS registration confirmation page. Take a printout and keep it safe — it is required for preference filling, seat acceptance, and document verification.

Note: Submit only one CSAS registration. Multiple registrations from the same student will be rejected and the fee will not be refunded.

Phase 2: Preference Filling (After CUET UG 2026 Results)

1. Log in to ugadmission.uod.ac.in using your CSAS Application Number and password once the preference filling window opens (expected July 2026).
2. Browse the complete list of college-programme combinations available across DU’s 91 colleges and 79 programmes.
3. Add college-course combinations to your preference list and arrange them in order of priority — place your most desired combination at the top.
4. Add as many preferences as you want — there is no upper cap on the number of choices. More preferences increase your probability of securing a seat in a programme aligned with your CUET score.
5. Review your complete preference list thoroughly. The order in which you rank choices directly determines your seat allocation outcome.
6. Lock your preferences before the designated deadline. Preferences that are not locked before the deadline are not considered for any allocation round.
7. Once a seat is allocated in Round 1 or Round 2, accept the seat and pay the admission fee within the stipulated window to confirm your admission. Failure to accept within the window results in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.
8. Carry all original documents to your allotted college within the document verification window to complete admission.

Documents Required for DUET Application Form 2026

Keep scanned copies of all the documents below ready before you start CSAS Phase 1 registration. Upload failures due to incorrect format or size are a common cause of incomplete registrations.

Note: Upload a recent passport-size photograph taken after January 2026 with a white background and 80% of your face clearly visible. Do not upload edited, filtered, or studio-retouched photographs — the University of Delhi rejects manipulated images during scrutiny, which can lead to cancellation of your CSAS registration.

DUET Application Fee 2026

The DU CSAS UG 2026 registration fee is lower than most national entrance exams, but it is non-refundable once paid. Confirm your eligibility before paying.

Payment is accepted via: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI. No offline payment (cheque, demand draft, or cash) is accepted. Pay only through the official CSAS portal — never through third-party portals or agents.

The CSAS registration fee is non-refundable — even if you do not fill preferences, withdraw your application, or do not secure a seat in any round of allocation.

Note: If your payment fails or the amount is deducted but registration is not confirmed, do not pay again immediately — wait 48–72 hours for the auto-refund to your source account. If the issue persists after 72 hours, contact the DU admission helpdesk through the official portal before making a fresh payment.

DUET Application Form Correction 2026

The CSAS portal for DU UG 2026 auto-fetches personal details from NTA’s CUET database, so there is no traditional “form correction window” for fields like name, date of birth, or category. However, a Preference Change Window is provided during Phase 2, letting you revise your college-course preference list before it is locked for seat allocation.

What You Can Change

• College-course preferences: Add new combinations, remove existing ones, or reorder your priority list during the Preference Change Window (expected Phase 2, July–August 2026). Use this window to refine choices based on Round 1 allocation outcomes.
• Uploaded documents: If you uploaded an incorrect document during Phase 1, contact the DU admission helpdesk at the official portal promptly before the registration deadline.

What You Cannot Change

• CUET UG 2026 credentials: Application Number, Roll Number, and Date of Birth used for CSAS registration are locked after submission.
• Category: Your category is auto-fetched from NTA’s CUET data. If there is a discrepancy, contact NTA first to correct it at the source, then contact the DU admission helpdesk.
• Personal details (name, DOB, gender): These come directly from the NTA CUET 2026 database. Any discrepancy must be resolved with NTA before the CSAS registration deadline; it cannot be edited on the CSAS portal itself.
• Locked preferences: Once you lock your Phase 2 preference list and the change window closes, no further modifications are accepted for any reason.
