DU JAT exam has been replaced with CUET UG 2024. Candidates can appear at CUET UG 2024 irrespective of any age bar. CUET UG 2024 eligibility criteria also refer to clearing class 10+2 or equivalent in relevant fields. Apart from Indian students, you can apply for the CUET UG 2024 examination., if you are an NRI or foreign candidate.
No qualifying marks have been set for appearing in CUET UG 2024 exam. We can however advise you to obtain atleast 50% aggregate marks in class 10+2 standard. This year, CUET UG registration seems to exceed last year’s number, which was 1499790. CUET UG 2024 exam will be held in 380 cities including 26 cities outside India. The exam is scheduled from May 15 to May 31, 2024.
If you have a Diploma degree accredited by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years, you can also appear for the examination. As per the rules, 15%, 7.5%, 27%, and 10% of seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and EWS respectively.

DU JAT (CUET UG) 2024 Eligibility Criteria
CUET UG 2024 eligibility criteria have been set along with the official brochure as mentioned below.
Age Limit
There is no age limit for appearing in CUET UG 2024 exam. Candidates irrespective of age can also be admitted into Delhi University.
Educational Qualifications
You must have cleared class 10+2 or equivalent in relevant fields to sit for CUET UG 2024. There is no benchmarks of qualifying marks, however, we can suggest you to obtain atleast 50% aggreagte marks or above to be in the safer side.
Domicile Criteria
Indian candidates are eligible to apply for CUET UG 2024 examination. Also, the exam is open for NRI and foreign nationals. This year, CUET UG exam is going to be conducted 380 cities including 26 cities outside India.
DU JAT (CUET UG) 2024 List of Qualifying Examinations
We have provided you below with the list of qualifying examinations accepted to for appearing at CUET UG 2024:
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects
- Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
- Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination
- A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
- Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination
- In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier
Delhi University 2024 Seat Reservations
Delhi University has mandated rules for seat reservations in percentage. Let’s keep an eye on the category-wise seat reservation in percentage:

Delhi University Admission Process through CUET PG 2024
Delhi University 2024 admissions will start soon after CUET UG 2024 results are declared. The results will be declared on June 30, 2024. Candidates who will be eligible according to the cut off will have to apply online for counselling. The cut off list will be prepared based on the rank secured in CUET UG 2024 exam.
Delhi University Counselling through CUET PG 2024
Delhi University 2024 counselling will be conducted in three rounds. The counselling will be conducted online as it will be difficult to arrange spot counselling. Candidates will have to submit all the documents for verification and lock their choices according to their rank.
The required set of documents are mentioned below:
- CUET UG 2024 result
- CUET UG 2024 admit card
- Class 10 certificate indicating the date of birth and parents' name
- Class 12 Marksheet
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/CW/KM certificate (if applicable)
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate (if applicable)
- Income Certificate (if applicable)
- EWS certificate issued by the competent authority
