Eligibility for PGDCL

All candidates aspiring to pursue a post graduate diploma degree in Corporate Law are first required to satisfy all the below mentioned criteria, in order to be eligible to apply for the course.

  • Bachelor’s degree in L.L.B. or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university
  • A minimum aggregate score of 50% at the level of graduation
  • Minimum 12 months work experience is preferred

All SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 5% under the minimum aggregate section.

PGDCL: Admission Process

Generally, most of the institutes and colleges providing the course admit students based on their accomplishment in senior and higher secondary examinations (10th & 12th) and the last qualifying examination.

However, there are some reputed institutes that conduct an entrance examination and a subsequent personal interview round to examine candidate’s general aptitude and knowledge for the course.

Based on the student’s performance in all these rounds, a merit list is then issued by each institute announcing the names of selected candidates.

Also, candidates who have appeared or are appearing for a degree examination or those awaiting their final year examination’s result are also eligible to apply. But, admission to such candidates will be given provisionally, until they satisfy all the mentioned criteria.
