The MSc in Data Analysis for Business Intelligence will prepare you to work with data in the business environment, using mathematical, statistical and computational skills – including data mining and practical database coding skills. This course seeks to train the generation of world-leaders in data analysis and, to this end, you will be taught by world-leaders in the field.

You will learn how to discover knowledge in data as well as honing the data analysis skills required to perform predictive and prescriptive modelling in real-world business situations. Located in the city of Leicester, they are a campus-based university in the city centre, with the hub of activity in Leicester right on your doorstep – and they are one of the few universities in the UK where you’re getting the best of both worlds.


The very compact campus contains a wide range of twentieth century architecture, though the oldest building dates from 1837. The main campus is a mile south of the city centre, adjacent to Victoria Park and Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College.


Library
  • Over 1,600 computer stations, laptops, free wi-fi, and power outlets for desktops are available throughout all library sites on campus.
  • The main Kimberlin high-tech Library houses a diverse variety of study materials, including books, collections, periodicals, and internet resources that may be accessed from anywhere.Except under exceptional situations, the facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

It's a big library: more than 30,000 e-journals, 300,000 e-books and 800,000 print books, with over £7 million invested each year in additional resources and services. Also hundreds of PCs, laptop loans, group study rooms and a café area for breaks and meeting friends. The Library is open 24 hours a day during term-time weekdays, expanding to full 24/7 opening in the run-up to exams.


Campus Life

De Montfort University campus is at Gateway House, Leicester, England, and has good road, air, and rail connections. By driving, it takes around an hour to get to the campus from the East Midlands International Airport.
