Georgian College vs Durham College

College has seven campuses: Barrie, Orillia, Owen Sound, Midland, Muskoka, South Georgian Bay and Orangeville. Barrie is the main campus. 

Durham College is situated on the traditional lands of the First Peoples of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. These lands are covered under the Williams Treaties and rest within the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg. They offer gratitude to the Indigenous Peoples who care for and, through the treaty process, share the lands on which we live, learn, teach and prosper today.

Georgian offers a variety of housing options to students – from on-campus residences (Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound campuses) to off-campus apartment buildings, room and board, and houses to rent or share. Georgian offers a number of different food options. Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound campuses offer multiple restaurants and meal plans. Many food vendors also accept the Georgian ONEcard. All seven campuses are in cities offering bus service to Toronto. All of those cities offer local public transit. Students have access to various services like health services, counselling services, advisory services etc. 

Established in the year 1967, Durham college of Applied Arts and Technology is located in Ontario, Canada. It has two main campus locations in Oshawa and Whitby along with a learning site in Pickering. 

There are many volunteer opportunities available to you at Durham College or in the region. Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to your campus or community, and can also help you gain valuable skills that will serve you well in your part-time job search.

Every third week of November, organizations around the world celebrate International Education Week (IEW). Celebrated globally since 2000, IEW provides an opportunity to highlight the benefits of internationalization efforts worldwide

The International Education office offers a number of events, activities and workshops each semester to help you navigate the student experience and have fun while doing so.

The cutting-edge Student Services facility and the Centre for Collaborative Education are located on the Durham College campus in Oshawa.

• Numerous business professionals attend the institution's interactive seminars, hands-on workshops, and guest lectures.
• Students can take part in a range of cultural activities at  Durham College. Depending on their interests, they can also join a range of student organizations.
• In order to keep their students active and fit,  Durham College also provides a range of sports facilities.

• Patricia O'Connor (Nursing, 1976) - Founding member of the Canadian Association of Aero-medical Transport, recipient of the Order of Canada in 2007 and recipient of the Premier's Award in 2009.
• Sheldon McIntosh - Drag Queen "Tynomi Banks", who starred on the first season of Canada's Drag Race.
