My Experience in Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Berhampur

Likes

There is much good Labarotary experiments we were performing than previous college
There is Animal House in our college and we were lucky for that also as it helping us to know more about the animals study
There is internship available in our college and it is helping us so much in many educational ways

Dislikes

There is no playground and playing equipments in the college
There is not many placements the college is bringing for us
There is not good food in the canteen for which students have to eat more outside food

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course I choose is Pharmaceutics in which there is much job opportunities most relevantly R&D and it is a very good career opportunity for us . Talking about the examinations there are sometimes very difficult questions given to us which is somewhat good for us to improve in our future

Worth it

Likes

Teacher's are cooperative and are full of knowledge.
College Environment is comfortable and supportable for one's growth.
Learning facilities are excellent, practicals are done in a very well manner and all the equipment’s required are there for experimental work.

Dislikes

Placements are not coming since Covid for which students are facing alot of problems.
For job purpose we have to go for walk-in interviews whereas college has to bring opportunities for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After completion of B Pharm I was in a dilemma that whether I should go for job or what? My teacher's and seniors told me that if you will do masters then you will be having more opportunities in your field, So I prefered to do Master's. In case of teaching methods one thing is there that has to be changed that is teacher's must provide written notes to students so that it will somehow easy for them to understand a topic properly.

East or West Roland is best

Likes

Central library with good facilities and book availability
Animal house with good laboratory practice

Dislikes

For sports there are no field available within the campus

Placement Experience:

Placement cell are there in Roland college to give the job to the students in various sector like QA, QC, AR&D and FR&D. Every year 20 percentage of students are getting established by the placement cell..

Good college in Odisha

Likes

Teaching is good and staff are cooperative
Regularity in classes and practicals in accordance to course
Good and protective environment to reside.

Dislikes

Campus placement is quite poor thing in here
Playground is very small and sometimes need to address other colleges if required
Some state scholarships are not eligible to be applied.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements from the last semester. The companies visited were in the past and any haven't visited recently. The package offered were 2lpa Less than 30% of students are being placed if any company visits. After post graduation I plan for a job and in long term I plan for a Phd

My journey in RIPS.

Likes

Proper classes with good amount of knowledge is gained.
Infrastructure is good but it could be much better.
Teachers are very humble and well behaved and are vert knowledgeable.

Dislikes

Placements with very low package at least 4.5 lakh should be there.
Canteen food is not satisfactory so they should focus on it.
Transportation problem as college doesn't provide bus.

Placement Experience:

A student is eligible for campus Placement in their final year. It would be much better if there will be placements of medicak coding, pv, clinical research related jobs . Recently MacLeod company came and some students were selected.

College life in RIPS

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is very much good enough. Most of their students get jobs by themselves but there is every year recruitment by the topmost Pharma companies in various fields apart from which various IT companies also recruit freshers.
