Poona College of Pharmacy affiliated with Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University offers a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in 7 specializations. It is ranked 16th Top Pharmacy institute by NIRF 2019 National ranking.

• Specializations are Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Quality Assurance Techniques, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs.
• It is a 2-year course divided into 4 semesters.
• For taking admission, you need to have a qualified bachelor’s in Pharmacy from an AICTE approved College and a valid GPAT score.

Poona College of Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must have completed his/ her B.Pharmacy from a recognized College or University with 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ ST and sponsored students).
• Seats are reserved for the candidate qualifying GPAT exam with at least 60% aggregate in B. Pharmacy.
• Candidates must have appeared in the entrance exam conducted by BVP.

Poona College of Pharmacy Admission Guidelines

• The admission will be provided based on the merit list declared by the University. For taking admission you need to give the entrance exam of the BVP. To register for the entrance exam, the following process is needed to be followed:
  • Visit the official college website of Bhartiya Vidyapeeth.
  • Click on the “Online CET Registration” link and create your login credentials.
  • Fill-up the application form with all the details.
  •  Pay the entrance exam fee of INR 1700.
  • Submit the form.
• The Merit List will be declared as per the marks secured by the candidate in the entrance exam. Candidates will be then called for counseling and the colleges will be allotted to them as per the availability.
• Documents to be submitted at the time of admission are:
  • Letter of Counselling.
  • Mark-sheet of SSC.
  • Mark-sheet of HSC.
  • Mark-sheet of bachelors.

Poona College of Pharmacy Scholarships

1. Maintenance allowance for SC students:

• The students who fall in the SC category can apply only.
• The student must be a resident of Maharashtra.
• The candidate must be a scholarship holder from the Government of India.
• Family Income must be less than INR 2.5.lakh.
• Amount: INR 7000 per annum.

1. Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojana:

• The candidate must be a resident of Maharashtra.
• Must have a family income less than INR 8 lakhs.
• Must be a child of registered labor or Child of Alpabhudarak.
• Allowance: From INR 10,000 to 30,000 for 10 months depending on the salary of the family.

Poona College of Pharmacy Course Details

The course work and syllabus of the curriculum are recommended by the Board of Studies, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and approved by the academic council.

Poona College of Pharmacy offers a master’s course in 7 areas mentioned below:

• All the specializations of the M.Pharmacy course are of two years duration divided into 4 semesters.
• First Semester is focused on both theory and practical. Students have to present seminars in all the semesters on the topics allocated.
• In the 4th semester, every student has to submit the project and research paper individually.
• 1 elective subject is there for you to choose from in the 1st semester.
• 2 elective subjects are kept in the 2nd semester.
• In the 3rd and 4th semesters, assignments and projects are in the syllabus only. You have to focus on the completion of the project
• In all the semesters, the students must maintain 75% attendance, otherwise, he/ she will be exempted from giving the final semester examination.
