Established in 2001, PSG College of Pharmacy (PSGCP) is a premiere educational institution imparting quality education in the field of Pharmacy Science. Affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, the pharmacy campus is located adjacent to the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences at Peelamedu, Coimbatore (TN).

PSGCP offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level degree programs in Pharmacy Education. PSG College of Pharmacy currently offers Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) courses at the UG level; Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) and Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D. PB) at the PG level; and Ph.D. in Pharmacy at the doctoral level.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes with at least 35% aggregate of marks in the qualifying exam are eligible for the B. Pharm program.
Candidates with a Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) are eligible to apply for the Doctor in Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) program.
The cost of application form for government quota seats is INR 350 for Open Category candidates. SC/ ST candidates are exempted from having to pay the application fee.
50% of the total government quota seats for M. Pharm are reserved for Tamil Nadu candidates. The remaining 50% are filled on All-India basis.
Selection of candidates for the UG courses is done on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed science subjects at the qualifying examination reduced to the base of 200 marks.

PSG College of Pharmacy UG Admissions 2024

PSG College of Pharmacy offers a 4-year B. Pharm program including a 6-Year Pharm. D. program at the undergraduate level. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Pharm and Pharm. D. programs is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Biology and Mathematics as electives. Candidates for the B. Pharm program are additionally required to secure a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the 3 science group subjects (i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics). Selection of candidates is done through DME counselling based on the merit of last qualifying marks.

Aspiring candidates may collect the application form from any Government Medical College within the state. The application fee can be paid only through Demand Draft, which must be produced at the time of obtaining the application form. The complete application form and copies of all relevant documents must be submitted only via post.

Important Points:

Candidates for the B. Pharm program should pass each of the science group subjects individually (in both theory and practical) while securing minimum 35% marks in each subject.
Candidates holding a Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) by the Board of Examinations of the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other state are eligible to apply for B. Pharm.

PSG College of Pharmacy PG Admissions 2024

At the post-graduate level, PSG College of Pharmacy offers Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm), Pharm. D. PB (Post Baccalaureate) and Ph.D. degree programs to eligible students. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the M. Pharm and Pharm. D. PB programs is a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) from an institute or university recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.

In case of Ph., the students are required to hold a M. Pharm degree with 50% marks in order to be eligible. Selection of candidates for the M. Pharm is done through entrance exam conducted by DME. Ph.D. candidates are selected through an entrance exam (conducted by the institute) followed by a personal interview.

Candidates applying for the M. Pharm program should download a soft copy of the application form from the DME or the State Government’s official website. A hard copy of the application form, duly completed, should be sent to DME, along with copies of all relevant documents and Demand Draft, so as to reach on or before the last date.

Important Points:

Candidates who have cleared the UGC-NET/ JRF are exempted from taking the Ph.D. entrance test. Such candidates must however appear for the interview.
Candidates applying in the final year exam of the qualifying degree are eligible to apply for all PG courses (except Ph.D.) and will be given provisional admission.
The calculation of marks for the purpose of selection/ rank list is done in the following format:

If percentile of marks in Biology is X, And Percentile of marks in Physics & Chemistry taken together is Y, Then the aggregate percentile will be (X+Y)/200 multiplied by 100.

PSG College of Pharmacy Application Process

PSG College of Pharmacy accepts applications for its government quota seats against B. Pharm, Pharm. D. and M. Pharm. admissions through DME, Tamil Nadu. Candidates are required to appear for counselling conducted by the board for allotment of seats as per merit. The application process in details for government quota seats is as follows:

Candidates for M. Pharm course may download the application form from the DME website www.tnhealth.org or www.tn.gov.in and take a printout of the soft copy.
The application form and prospectus for B. Pharm and Pharm. D. can be collected from any government medical college within the state.
The prescribed application fee should be paid at the time of collecting the application kit. DME accepts payments made only through demand draft for the purpose.
DD should be drawn in favor of ‘Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai – 10’ payable at Chennai from nationalized banks only.
The applicant is required to enclose self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents along with the complete application form and send the same through post to the following address:

Admission:

No,i don't get rejected by, the other colleges,i first applied to this collage through the paramedical counselling held by the government of tamilnadu ,so I choose this college because it is best over the other colleges i have ever visited.

First of all i got the application form in the government medical college and i filled it and sent via post to mgr university then allot number came and i was called for counseling then i went to counseling for madras and i got seat
