Mahatma Gandhi Law College, established in the year 1990, the college is approved by the Bar Council of India and has been affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad.

The college offers both Post-graduate and Under-graduate courses. It offers L.L.B. for 3 years and 5 years with integrated courses in UG domain and L.L.M. in PG domain through both distance and regular mode to the eligible students.

At the UG level, the institute offers an LL.B, LL.B. (Hons), and BA./B.Com/BBA LL.B for a duration of 3 and 5 years respectively. Admission to all the UG courses is done through LAWCET or through Management Quota.

At the PG level, the college offers an LL.M under 4 specializations for a duration of two years. Selection to the same is granted on the basis of TS-PGLCET.

To apply for admission, the candidates must first register for the respective entrance exam via the official exam conducting authority.

MGLC has also been ranked 8th among all the law colleges in India.

Mahatma Gandhi Law College UG Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates seeking admission to L.L.B. courses should have passed Intermediate/10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST categories).
  • The candidate should have passed TS LAWCET conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The candidates with 45% or more marks in B.Ed. or other PG courses are also eligible to seek admission in LLB even if they secure less than 45% marks at degree level.
  • The candidates who have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% and are from Management quota are also eligible.

Mahatma Gandhi Law College UG Selection Criteria

The selection is based on the marks scored in the LAWCET. The candidates who have not appeared for LAWCET can still seek admission into the college through Management quota. 20% of the total seats are reserved under this category.

Mahatma Gandhi Law College PG Admission 2024

The college offers L.L.M. in four specializations out of which Labour law and Law of Torts and Crimes courses are only offered through distance education. The distance education degree is conferred by Acharya Nagarjuna University. The approved intake of students is 20 seats per course.

The candidates should have passed L.L.B. from any college recognized by the Government of Telangana with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

  • The candidates can also get admission through Management quota.

Mahatma Gandhi Law College Scholarships

  • Scholarships for SC/ST/BC/Minority/Physically handicapped candidates are awarded by the Social Welfare and Tribal Welfare Departments of Government.
  • The Certificate of Income as prescribed by the Government of State and Central has to be submitted from time to time. The Scholarship holders are required to put in not less than 75% of attendance for being eligible for scholarship.

The college that I applied are Osmania university and PG college of Law and other colleges but I didn't get admission because of reservations and by marks I obtained.The college I got admission because of B.com LLB is only in my college had there,other colleges don't have this course. Admission process is not so much difficult it is simple and the eligibility is any one can take admission in the college. Any competitive exams can accept my course. My admission experience is tensed and excited to got admission in the college.

Eligibility for this course is you have to write ts lawcet and qualify this exam..exam fee will be 1100.. If you are sc,st then you have to provide caste certificate and income certificate to get reservation in college fees...there is no need of any improvement in admission process..

For Studying the PG degree LLM in Telangana you have to write TS PGLCET(Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test). It is a 120 Marks exam in which you have to score minimum 30 marks to qualify. more over the candidate applying for LLM should have three years of experience as an advocate. The Registration fee for OC and BC is Rs 1000 while fee for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped is Rs 800. The online applications for 2022 starts from 06/04/2022 and ends on 06/06/2022. The date of Examination is on 27/07/2022 you have to apply on lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
