All about my journey

Likes

I like the structure of college ,which is very nice.
Front look of college is very good. classrooms are big.
There is a good thing about college is that they are offering not only bds course but also nursing and paramedical.

Dislikes

Permanent faculties are not their only visiting staffs are available.
Instrument which is provided by college are not working , dental chair are not working only 1 or 2 dental chairs are working in each department.
Classrooms are big but don't have working fans , college don't have AC auditorium.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college is close to my home town and fees is reasonable this two things influence me to choose this course. College prepare at its level but we have to prepare ourselves for each and every hurdle in practice and clinics. The teaching methods of college is very old and slow they should try new methods so that students also take interest in studies. Timing of exams are not fix they take exams any time , they take internals before 1 month of final exams , college not give us paper leave.

Teaching staff is very knowledgeable and consist of young youth (MDS staff) and also experienced staff.
Respected principal sir and college management is very supportive. Always hear everyone problems and make sure to solve it.
In comparison with other colleges it is situated in main city and all the facilities like railway station hospital malls

Dislikes

There is no facilities for sports and i think there should be proper facilities for both girls and boys sports and proper competitions should be conduct.
There is no extra curricular activities in college like quizzes competition, debate competition etc
Library contain old edition of books so it should be replaced with new one so students can save there money and can use the benefits of library

This course consists of three things together and make a very interesting and respectful profession. Dentistry teaches us to bring smiles on face. By knowledge+art + and skills . It is a myth that dentistry is just related to teeth but it also connected to whole body and very important part of are body head and neck section. In India dentistry is very behind are thinking in comparison to other countries as people do not take care of there dental health properly.which results in lack of advanced equipments of dentistry in India. Course in our jabalpur university contain one and most important test per year which is known as university exam is is quite good because before that's collage take 4 internal exam and one pre university exam every year so we can perform well in university exam .

Likes

You will get plenty of patients to do your work as BDS is more operational work rather than seating and writing medicine, There are total 9 departments in the college each department has there own individual role to treat the tooth.
patient OPD is very good and students and learn how to run a clinic to have good clinical practice.
Teacher gives full attention to the student and there work

Dislikes

There is no proper facilities in the college
Less number of faculty in the college to explain the treatment procedure
They use the traditional method of Dental treatment no lastest technology available at the moment

The BDS course can train you upto for to manage the patient how to gain skills manage clinic. Bds course should have lastest technology every year to increase its accuracy. The frequency of the exams should be every month
