Rookala Kendro is a prestigious institute dedicated solely to the study of film and social communication in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was formed out of Indo-Italian technical cooperation in the year 1995.
The institute offers two-year Post Graduate Diploma courses in Development Communication, Motion Picture Photography, Direction, Editing Sound Design and Animation Creation and Direction respectively.

- Eligible candidates have to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the institute, comprising of 2 papers-An Essay Paper of 100 marks and a Specialization Paper of 200 marks.
- Candidates shortlisted on the basis of performance in the entrance exam will be called for an interview/orientation round at the institute.
- The interview date would be intimated by post.
- Candidates who clear both the written test and interview/orientation rounds at the institute will be granted admission to the desired course.

Roopkala Kendro PG Diploma Admission 2024
Roopkala Kendro offers two-year Post Graduate Diploma program in Direction, Animation Creation and Direction, Motion Picture Photography, Editing Sound Design and Development Communication.
Candidates must complete graduation in order to be eligible for admission to these courses. Those seeking admission to the Sound Design course must have Physics as a subject at the Higher Secondary level.
