Manorama School of Communication (MASCOM) is a premier journalism training center founded by Mr. K M Mathew, also the founder of the prominent magazine “Malayala Manorama”. This institute was set up in the year 2002, in a small yet vibrant town of Kottayam, Kerala. It is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

MASCOM offers full-time Postgraduate Diploma courses in Print Journalism and Broadcast Journalism respectively.

The minimum eligibility for PG Diploma is any Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates appearing in final year examination may also apply for admission.
The selection is done on the basis of written test and interview conducted by the institute.
Application forms for each course can be obtained from the institute on request or can be downloaded from the official website of the institute.
If a student is a full-time employee or a student in another course, then he/she is not eligible to apply.

MASCOM PG Diploma Course Admission 2023

Manorama School of Communication (MASCOM) offers full-time PG Diploma program in Print Journalism and Broadcast Journalism. The college accepts 30 students each year for each course. The applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University to apply for this course. Final year students of Bachelor’s program from a recognized University can also apply.

The selection criteria for admission is based on the candidate’s performance in the Entrance test and personal interview conducted by the institute.

In order to attend the entrance test, an Admit card will be provided by the institute on successful completion of the application. The candidate has to bring the admit card along on the date of the examination, to the allotted examination center. Candidate will not be allowed to attend the examination without the admit card.

The results and the status of candidature will be announced to each candidate through the registered e-mail ID, mentioned in the application. The candidates who have qualified the entrance test will be called for the personal interview round. On clearing the interview, the candidate is considered eligible for admission.

MASCOM Application Process 2023

The application form for both courses is to be requested from the institute with the Demand Draft. The form is also available for download online in the institute website. The downloaded form has to be duly filled, signed and submitted to the institute on time.

How to Apply?

Request for the application form and prospectus from the institute by sending a Demand Draft of the registration fees to the college.
Candidate can also download the application form from the official website of the institute.
Visit the official website and click on Admission tab on the menu bar.
Next, click on Download form and then on the next page, click on the Download Application Form.
Fill the application in block letters in your own handwriting and specify the choice of examination center (1^st and 2^nd) clearly
Include your photograph and sign the form in black or blue ink.
Also, fill the Admit card form and affix a passport size photograph.
Pay the fees through Demand Draft in favour of MASCOM payable at Kottayam, Kerala.
Application Fees: INR 500
Super scribe the envelope as ‘MASCOM PGDBJ Application’.
Completed application form along with Admit Card must reach at the address below:

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of an entrance test, followed by an Interview. The selection process literally evaluated the students on the basis of their academic record, their interest in current affairs and politics, their commitment to journalism as a career and their writing skills.

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of an entrance exam and a personal interview which is conducted at MASCOM in Kottayam. The entrance test was pretty basic one, but the interview process was really a tester.
