Bidhannagar College, Kolkata offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate Honours Programs in Arts & Science stream leading to BA, B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in different areas of specializations.

For admission in UG courses, BA (Hons.) and B.Sc. (Hons.), the candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in relevant subject or 55% marks in subjects/related subjects.
Also, the candidates who have not studied the subject in previous qualifying examination, seeking admission must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Selection of the candidates in any of these UG Program is based on the merit of the qualifying examinations.
For M.Sc., the candidates must have obtained a graduate degree in science stream with relevant subjects.

Bidhannagar College offers BA (Hons.) in seven different disciplines of Arts and B.Sc. (Hons.) in nine fields of specializations. The candidates planning to take admission in any of these UG program must have passed 10+2 with an aggregate of 50% marks.

The candidates for any of these UG courses are selected on the basis of the merit of qualifying examination.

Key Points to remember for UG Admission:

The candidates with 55% marks or above in the specialization subjects are also eligible to apply.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST categories must have an aggregate of 40% marks in 10+2 with 40% marks in the relevant subject of specialization.
A candidate can apply for a maximum of 3 honours courses.
The candidates with a gap of 3 years or more are not eligible to apply.

Bidhannagar College, Kolkata PG Admission 2024

Bidhannagar College offers three M.Sc. courses in Chemistry, Zoology and Microbiology. The candidates seeking admission in any of these PG courses must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in science stream with relevant subjects from any recognised University/ Institution.

Selection criterion for admission in these courses is based 60% on merit and 40% on the entrance exam conducted by the college.

The college provides various scholarship and financial aids to the financial backward but meritorious students.

I had got offered from nearly all Bsc college I applied(Gurudas College,DUM DUM Motijheel,Asutosh College,City college etc) but this college instead due to great NIRF ranking and been placed in top 10 college is the zone.And even the corse fees is negligible for a degree course and also has a well communicative location. *I didn't got rejection from any applied colleges but didn't choosed them based on academic,fees structure and opportunities reason. *The admission to this college is based on Class 10 th and 12 th compiled boards result(Merit-based admission)

For eligibility you have to complete the. BSc degree in anthropology and secure atleast 60 percentage then eligible to fill the application. The appication form is available on their official website. The admission is fully merit-based. Their were also reservation benefits for Sc and St. The college also follow the exam calender of west bengal state university. The exam is easy if studied well from the starting of the semester, you have 5 months approx to complete the full chapters in your semester exam.

the admission process was simple you just need to get above 50% which is a minimum percentage for pretty much every college as for me it was 80% therefore i filled up the form from google website and got selected and they didn't take entrance exam
