Everything about NEF college of pharmacy guwahati.

Likes

Teacher are very supportive and helpful.
They encourage the students in everything.
They give importance to extra activity .

Dislikes

College is to much costly for the middle class family.
B pharma students get more benefits than D pharma.
College doesn't have a proper playground.

No college doesn't offer any placement. But after completing the course one can work on different fields. After getting the degree one work in the hospital , in company, or even can open a medicine shop.

Underlying truth of college

Likes

Teachers are mindful and helpful with our studies
College provide us with mentor for each student so its really helpful
College is neat and clean and the washroom are really neat which is good

Dislikes

There is only one general library for every department and its too small
There is not enough classroom in the college, sometimes we need to wander around as no classroom
There is no auditorium in college, any occasion or program we need to make a pandel

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to study medicine course so that influenced me to choose this course They trained us really hard during practical classes The lab room should be better as some chemicals are not available in the lab Rather than giving assignments each day the teachers can give us some rest days to go through our lessons The difficulty level is hard, the exam takes place mostly after 2 months of class for the first sessional and followed by 2nd sessional and then the final Semester

Likes

Teaching stuff of our college is very good and they help us to understand things.
The environment of our college campus is very good
Our college library is very nice and beautiful

Dislikes

Canteen is not too good and small in size
Lift is not working most of the time because of electricity

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose b pharmacy and this is a professional course. This course deals with medicine. After b pharm course a student become a pharmacist and provide medicine to patients.This course also deals with pharmaceutical formulations.

Likes

The overall environment is good enough for concentration .
College have good infrastructure as compared to other colleges in the city.
Faculties are well educated and only experienced teachers are present .

Dislikes

The fees is costly for some of the students.
During summer season the college don’t provide AC .
The machines are sometimes not calibrated for several weeks by the college.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good with decent packages in well known industries like Cipla, Dabur, Emami, Hetero etc. and if the students don't get the job then also they can studies further like Masters and pharmacy to get higher packages. The students can also get a registration number which can be used to open a pharmacy like retail or wholesale.

Likes

Faculties of college are friendly and helping in nature
Classrooms are big, clean and organized and well build
Campus is large consisting of a garden and a canteen

Dislikes

I don't like the Canteen in the campus of our college
I don't like the practical hours of my college though it is important part of our course
I don't like to attend the lectures on Saturday bt we are lucky we have half day on Saturday

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pursue something on medical field made me make my mind to do Bachelor of Pharmacy. Though the world is developing but together the rate of health problems are also increasing tremendously and here pharmacists play a significant role . The area where this course can be improve is by increasing the practical knowledge rather than theory. We have two sessional and one semester exam in the time period of 6 months.
