NIH Kolkata Faculty

The faculty at the college is highly qualified and experienced, with many having served as doctors in government hospitals. The college employs 23 teachers across various departments such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacy, surgery, and community medicine. Classes are conducted from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays and until 1 pm on Saturdays, including both theory and practical sessions. The staff regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and clinical case presentations, with active participation from postgraduate trainees, interns, and faculty members.

Guest faculty cover diverse topics like biochemistry and human anatomy to prepare students for multidisciplinary healthcare roles. Despite the slightly fewer number of teachers than ideal, faculty members are known for their supportive, motivational, and detailed teaching methods, helping students with both syllabus and non-syllabus queries. They aim to provide comprehensive medical education, focusing on both practical and theoretical skills.
