Government Polytechnic, Faizabad, was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1962 for providing technical education to the students. It offers diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and PG Diploma in Biotechnology (Tissue Culture) with intake of 60 students in each branch. The admission process takes place only through the merit basis by the merit list prepared based on the marks in the qualifying exam. The placements opportunity of serving as the apprentice is given to each student.

Polytechnic entrance exam with jeecup eligibility 10 pass out science stream 350 application fee general candidate no reservations. And obc cat 28%. For SC 21% and female candidates extra reservation entrance exam pass a good rank
