Government Polytechnic, Faizabad, was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1962 for providing technical education to the students. It offers diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and PG Diploma in Biotechnology (Tissue Culture) with intake of 60 students in each branch. Government Polytechnic College, Faizabad, does not offer management quota seats for its Diploma in Electrical Engineering program. Admission is based on merit through the JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh), and there are no provisions for direct or management quota admissions
